Do you use a hard case or gel case?

I use hard plastics, for a couple of reasons.

1. We've gotten silicon gel cases in for the Moment before. They are garbage.
2. We don't have a leather pouch that directly fits the Moment, so I need one to fit in my pouch at work.
3. If I'm not using my pouch, the cases I sell have a belt clip attachment.
4. I have a dock that I made that fits with the case or without the case, the silicon doesn't.

Now out of the plastic cases, if I don't use a Body glove, I prefer soft textured. Unless I want a design put on the back of the phone case, which I get a solid colored plastic. What I want to do, is order a second battery door, sand it down, and do a plastic coat over it with a D for Detroit, and maybe a clear case for it.

If it's from Cellairis, the company I'm a manager for then $20 is a fair deal. Compared to how much Sprint sells there cases that are the same thing as ours for $35. Verizon, 22% off when you buy 3 for $20-$25. Also, not as much variety. Tmobile sells for $10, and AT&T only has clear cases. Where as Cellairis, $20 and buy one get one half off.

I went to the mall on a slow night and I talked one of those cases down from $20+ to $4 and then told the salesmen that I actually wasn't interested and walked away. :p
Needless to say, he was pissed!
Dang! Shoulda just got it since the price was so good. But I emailed OtterBox and they said they were going to make a MyTouch version 1.2 case soon. So I guess I'll probably be grabbin that when it comes out.

Personally I use a hard case just for more protection if I drop it. Just wondering what everyone else prefers.

Yesterday, a hard plastic skin arrived from Zagg Incorportated -- Invisible Shield. This three mm thick transparent plastic makes my phone screen, if it ever arrives, scratch proof. The plastic, according to the marketing, is the same one used by the USA military to cover the blades of helicopters. Check it out ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | iPhone, iPod Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield
You have to soap the plastic on and then it sort of shrink wraps to the phone, so this really adds a whole new fetishistic dimension to my obsession.

I really don't like cases though. It would have been a waste of money for me to buy it.
Sorry topic drifter... Did you know you can actually get good quality cases on Overstock.com for around $2? I was very skeptic when I ordered a few for my mom's phone but we ended up being very happy with them.

When we went, my girlfriend insisted on getting cases in almost every color. They have to match her purse, shoes, etc.. So I ended up talking the guy down to $5 each for the 6 that we bought. She switches them out almost daily and I have had the same black one on my phone since we bought them.

I'm right with you. When I go out my phone is naked in a holster. Prefer the feel of the glass screen and the special blue back that I have on it. When I get home it gets a cheapo 2 buck gel wrap for just in case one of my dogs knocks it to the floor. My wife on the other that drops all kinds of things gets an Otterbox type case as soon as she gets a new phone.

Haven't used a case for years... my last four phones don't have any scratches on them. I don't drop them and do stupid things like talking with the phone on my shoulders while tying shoes or holding the phone over pavements, sinks etc. I have used skins, I like the one I just put on my S7 Edge... nothing on the front though.
