Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official LiquidSmooth Nightlies!!

Update on 3/10 build-

Running great so far. I was running the stock kernel up until a few minutes ago. I went ahead and flashed dkp because I like all the options it offers that Lean doesn't. Don't get me wrong, the Lean kernel has been running great. I just want to see if I can get better battery life with some tweaking of dkp.

Struckn's modified version of the 3/10 build can be found here. Be sure to hit the thanks tab in his thread. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing how 3/10 is running for others. Have the people with 4G in their area been able to get it working? Please post your results. Thank you.
I flashed 3/10 used the zip had 4g but I ended up going with 3/8 and then dirty flashing the 3/12 build it's smooth I had fc issues just running 3/10 alone

Now I'm on 3/12 still have 4g

I've been so caught up with taking care of getting my blood work and stuff done today that I haven't even checked to see if there was an update. Thanks for letting me know there is a new build available bro. :D:thumbup:

You alright? And yes no problem bro

Well, not really. I've had some health issues for awhile. The Dr.'s are just keeping an eye on me right now to make sure I don't get any worse. I've been holding my own though and actually doing pretty well. I'm going to get an MRI this Friday to see what's up. God willing, the tests will come back OK.:)

The 3/12 build seems to be running fine. I went ahead and flashed it a little while ago. Instead of sticking with the Lean kernel this time, I went ahead and flashed dkp right after I got the ROM set up. From what I can tell, it looks like they've taken care of the issues from the earlier builds. It's looking good so far and I'm looking forward to giving it a thorough testing tomorrow while I'm in the city. I'm gonna go ahead and flash the 4G fix too right after I get through typing this. Wy says they've got 4G in some parts of Bakersfield according to a Sprint Site and I wanna be able to use it if I run across a signal. The phone I have has never seen 4G before. I would love to give it a try! :D

EDIT:

Looks like they fixed the issue with the slow 3G in this build. Mine is fast!!

That's kinda sad, hope you get better and keep up that good work taking care of your body.

I might flash the dkp kernel too the one they use is smooth but it heats up the phone pretty quickly and is stock clocked to 1.8 which is pointless and probably why the phone gets so hot

Thanks bro. :)

As for the Lean kernel, my phone never got hot thankfully. I didn't even check the kernel settings on the 3/10 build until after a few hours after flashing. It was then that I noticed it was clocked so high and I turned it down. That may be the reason some people are having trouble too. Their phones may not can handle the higher settings.

Just moved to the field on the first of the month, during the big rain storm (not fun moving in the rain)... but there is 4G coverage throughout most of the city now :)

What? You moved to Bako for real? Too freaking cool! If so we'll have to grab a Starbucks one day. I live about an hour outside of town but come to the city quite a bit. I'm coming to Bakersfield tomorrow as a matter of fact. I've got to come in and get an MRI done.

That's sux you moved in that rain too. I was driving home from the city when it hit. Needless to say, it was a nasty drive home. LOL!

I'll be looking for that 4G. Hopefully I'll be able to pick it up. :D

Yup i did. I hope it was a good decision. So far I'm happy about it.
I pray that the mri gives you a good reading bro!

Bakersfield isn't a bad place to live at all. I actually lived there for 10 months and liked it a lot. Sheila and I will probably end up moving there in the coming years. I hope you do well there and thanks for the well wishes on the MRI bro. :)

I just flashed this ROM. Went from stock TW. Then had to flash MIUI to get it out of my system lol. Do you recommend using the dkp kernel with liquid?

Yes. Just make sure you get the newest version of the AOSP DKP kernel.

Honestly, I would try the Quantum kernel If I were you. It's what I'm running right now and it's awesome. Here's a direct link. This is on devhost so it may ask you to download Mobogenie. Just say no and tap the small download tab. It'll say it's the Quantum kernel when it asks if you want to download it.

Direct link to the Quantum kernel -

One more thing...... make sure you are running the newest version of Philz recovery. It's a must have. TWRP doesn't like to flash some of the 4.4.2 ROMs.

I need to re-download the rom. Kept getting massive fc's. Was trying the nightly from the 15th. I just got my phone and rooted this weekend so I believe I'm on newest philz recovery. Although weird thing in recovery is it shows my year on backups as being from like 1970 or something and it wouldn't restore my back up. Kept saying bad checksum so had to turn off that check.

In Philz, after you hit the factory reset, it will ask if you are installing a new ROM. I ALWAYS choose the that option. I then wipe cache and Dalvik. The flash the ROM and flash the GAPPS. The only time I've ever had mass FC's is when I didn't do a factory reset.

You will want to let the ROM and GAPPS boot up fully and then go back and flash the Quantum kernel. I have a feeling that you'll like it. I know I do. It's been running great and I'm getting superb battery life. :D

I will say this about Liquidsmooth..... the default setting for the Lean kernel is set high. That may be the reason why a few people are having some issues. There is a very good possibility that their phone cannot handle the overclock.

I definitely did do the same wipe procedure you did. As well as flash. Minus the kernel. I didn't get overheating issues like I read about but I didn't run it that long either. The 15th nightly is running well for you though? I'll retry that one with the kernel you advised I use.

If you have issues again, you may want to re-download the ROM. There's a chance your download may be corrupt. It happens more than people think. I've already had it happen twice in 3 months.

Make sure you've got the newest Philz too. ;)

I have the newest philz. Double checked. It must be a bad download. I'll try to download again after their site is back up. Keeps saying their nightly page is down. Btw on the set up do you just let it it sit on the activation screen or skip it? And do you still have to flash the 4g fix or do unified builds not need it? Thanks.

My copy of 3/15 is linked on the VM side LiquidSmooth thread if you want it.
