Is it worth it?

I have the 9630 (tour) and i really want the Incredible, the thing is i DONT NEED IT. its just something i would love to have, im a gadget head. I was debating on buying this or waiting it out till july and getting a newer phone since in July i will hit 1 year on my contract. Any input?

All I can say is I came from blackberry as well....2 curves....they are great phones....but Android is very refreshing, so freeking customizable, and the internet experience alone will have you whistlin dixie! Of course the internet on any berry is just plain awful.

So yea I'm sooo glad I switched 4 months ago. Android is seriously great

I don't see anything better coming out in the next few months. That being said, the Incredible is incredible. Its pretty much the best phone I have used, above the Moto Droid, Nexus One, and the iPhone 3GS.

Its great for those who love gadgets, but its all about your choice, and whether its worth it to you or not. Worst case scenario is to test drive it for a month, then decide. =)

I paid full retail. It was expensive, but now that i've had a day with it, I justify the price. =P

IT is 530 before taxes, and try eBay or Craigslist, if its in good quality and a clean ESN, you can probably make a pretty decent payoff out of it.

I came fro a Blackberry Tour and I miss the physical keyboard but this phone blows the tour away. The keypad on the DI is actually very good. Def worth the change

Dave, did you buy your tour on release date? how long have you had it? how much did they make you pay?

I used my mother in laws upgrade for the tour on release day last summer. I just used mine on the DI and i got it pre-order on wed...i paid 150 with NE2 upgrade

Battery runs down pretty quick, but I have everything on full power and running, but the OS itself and the web browser are light years ahead of Blackberry. I havent really noticed any bugs yet

Unfortunately I don't see either being a real threat to Incredible. =P

I came from the black berry storm. It was extremely worth it. But two weeks ago I had the droid and returned it for the incredible today. im starting to regret that decision. Cost me 35 dollars for a restocking fee. The phone does not play videos on espn correctly as the droid did. Im afraid it wont get updated and ill have to take a chance on rooting the phone to update it which i have never done and I dont want to brick my phone. It also seems to have much worse coverage as far as gps, wifi, and 3g network lol. So far the phone has not lived up to the hype. Honestly I can barely tell at all if there is a speed jump. And im not an avid facebook twitter fan so that point it does not appease to me at all. I hope they fix a lot of the issues, but its starting to seem like i bought another storm for the first time lol. They better get things right or ill be kicking my self for the trade in.

I don't think any phone is worth 600 dollars after the total purchase package is done, charger, car charger, holster, car mount, and extra/extended battery.

Hay... if you have the cash...WHY NOT GO FOR IT!

I switched from the 9630 tour also and only thing I sorta miss is bbm, nothing else. The trackball was horrible on it and the constant rim server outrages.
