Root [ROM][BETA][4.4.2] SlimKat for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 4/7/2014

Just discovered that Google no longer allows sign-in to GTalk under KitKat. That among some other small details with SlimKat are deal breakers for me. Can't stand Hangouts so will stick with AOKP JB 4.2.2.

Will a dirty flash be okay? I already have KK installed.

I went on and did it and i seems ok. Although while it was flashing the screen turned off and i had to battery pull and flash the rom again? Out of curiosity did taking the battery out while it was flashing mess anything up?

is there anybody using their external sd card for main storage? i cant pick it on my phone. if that is how it is, i will deal with it. other than that, this rom is fantastic!! very fast and smooth!! great job phenom!!

I believe it is main storage with this rom. Internal storage is emmc and your external sdcard is sdcard.

Yeah it's because of the toolchain used to compile the kernel. The previous release I used a prebuilt compiled with an older toolchain. I'm thinking about switching sources. Which rom would you like to see for the elite?

cm11 would be cool if you can fit it on our phone.

yah i think cm11 will be smooth and wont have many bug. Becaus ecm10 and cm9 were pretty smooth.

I'd be willing to send you a hard drive so you can compile KitKat using AOKP source. What type, i.e., SATA, EIDE, etc and what form factor, i.e., 2.5" or 3.5"?

I use a 160GB HDD paritioned 110GB for linux, 8GB for swap and 30GB for windows. I want to add another HDD to use only for linux that way I can enable ccache for faster compile times.

I might be able to get a hold of a 250GB or 320GB SATA 7200RPM drive. That should work for you. If you send your shipping address via Private Message, I'll see what I can do. Really would like to see 4.4 AOKP

He would need a sata adapter to connect outside of the computer. Otherwise he is going to have to take his old on out and put the new one in. Some computers come with a sata port so you can check for that.

Not if the system board has two SATA ports and bays to install the second drive - which most do, unless the system is small form factor.
