Zerolemon Extended Battery

Make sure you get the 'ZeroLemon' with the 10000 MAH battery or you will not get the same results.

EXACTLY but it is close. My girlfriend has a Note 2 and I bought her the 9000 MaH something and she is a heavier user than I am and she gets about the same time between charges. You will get used to the bigger casing. IMHO the trade between the size and the charge is worth it. Mine seems to last A VERY long time when I gets to 1 remaining on the battery.

The instructions also warn about the use of the power chargers. It should be a "rapid charger". Mine charges fast and it still lasts a while, but not as long as the initial charge. I have a few more charges to go through before I'd consider the "conditioning" complete but overall, I am VERY happy with the battery and case. Best of luck to you.

Battery life is satisfactory to me. I don't get 4 or 5 days like some people are claiming but i can easily get 2 or 3. I consider myself a very heavy user. I play a lot of Deer Hunter and Zombie Sniper during the day sometimes at full brightness. I also use Waze about 3 hours a day on my commute. Without the gaming I could see 4 days being possible.

Paul,

I use the standard Samsung wall plugin in my bedroom for overnight charging, output is 5V & 2000 MA

I use a USB Power Adapter in my office, Model CT47U-USB that has dual ports, setup for one to have 500 MA and the other for Tablets at 2100 MA.

One thing that I've done that I believe helps more than anything else is to make sure that I have really good quality 'HEAVY' cables. I prefer the 'Blue' ones that you can buy from Amazon called the CITI Samsung Galaxy Nor 3.....

I also only use the USB 3.0 type cables. I even have an 18" (CITI Blue) version for my vehicle that goes with the 2.0 AMP charger for my car.

These are super heavy duty, and allow me to charge my Note 3 from 20% to fully charged in about 6 hours.

I am also a Waze user...and it definitely drains my battery. For that, I use a car charger unless I want to intentionally run down the battery. For "conditioning", I like to run the battery all the way down before charging. Being a "very heavy" user, I can see you getting less than the 4-5 days that I am claiming. I tend to be a moderate to sometimes heavy user. My GF is definitely a "heavy" user but not a "very heavy" user.;)

I'd like to let the battery run all the way down as well but I run into two problems. The first is the screen on my note automatically dims when the phone believes the battery is about to die. I think its a 3%. Problem with that is the phone will still run for hours after the 3% mark but with the dim screen its kind of useless to me. The other issue is timing. I cant ever seem to time it so that my phone will run out at the end of a day. So that means instead of charging it overnight I have to plug it in at a time thats not convenient for me.

If you like running your battery all the way down, look at How to Prolong Lithium-based Batteries - Battery University at the first line of the first chart. Compare that to even the second line. You about quadruple (and maybe even quintuple - it depends on the individual battery) the battery life by charging it when it's down about 40%-60%. Considering that you're using only half the capacity, that gives you twice the usage as running it all the way down does. Basically it means that you're paying twice as much for the battery if you always run it all the way down. (Even running it down to 3% is "all the way down" as far as life is concerned.)

Interesting link and great information but if I'm only running it down to 50% am I really getting what I purchased an extended battery for in the first place? If I'm gonna have to carry a charger around with me then I would have just stuck with the Otterbox. Kind of like buying a luxury car and only driving it every once in a while because you want to keep the mileage down. I bought the battery to use it not to save it.

im a moderate to heavy user and I get about 1 days and 15 hours.. my max is 1 days and 17 hours.. and I always try to let it drain down.. but recently I have been charging it daily as it'll reach 40 or 30 or so by the first night and I don't know if that is the effective of the battery going bad or im just using it much more..

Most days, at the end of the day my Zerolemon battery is somewhere around 30%. I just plug it in, using the original Samsung charger which has it at 100% by morning. I'm sure I could extend battery life by figuring a way to shut off charging before it gets to 100% (maybe a timer?) but the law of diminishing returns says there comes a point where I question whether the extra time and effort is worthwhile.

What I'm hoping is that Zerolemon will make additional batteries available for those who already have the Zerolemon case. In fact, if I have time today, I may contact them and see....

This is what my experience is moving towards now. Biggest thing for me is I can confidently leave the house without a charger. Thats all I wanted in the first place and its worth the 60 bucks to me.

Any of you use battery monitor widget pro ?
It shows what rate your phone is being charged at.
Even with the stock charger I never see it indicate the 2100mah rate the wall chartger is supposed to charge at. Usually hovers between 1000 and 1700 or so.
Also noticed on my car charger (lenmar 2100 mah) that it does the same thing, even less with cheaper cables.
I think cable quality makes a big difference... but how come the stock charger/stock cable does not even get near 2100 ?
Anyone notice this ?
I am still on the stock battery.

I have a Note 3 with the ZeroLemon 10000 mah extended battery. Is there any way to use this battery with wireless charging? When you put the battery in the phone it looks as though the wireless charging terminals are covered and it doesn't appear that you can use wireless charging. Does anyone know anything about this?

@az_r2d1:
I get about 1,200mA charge no matter how large a 5 volt source I use (and I have one 30 Amp power supply I've tried it with), using the standard cable that came with it. I suspect that I might get a little more charge using #16 or even #14 wire, but that's bulky - about as thick as lamp cord. The phone is built to do 2 things - draw a certain maximum amount of current from the charger (which appears to be around 1.2 Amps in my case) and to stop charging whn the battery reaches full charge (which mine does).

I don't worry too much about batteries, though - the way I treat mine, my 11 year old Motorola SNN5722A battery, sitting in my 11 year old phone, is still giving me about as long a time between charges as it did 11 years ago. (The fact that the phone is 2G makes it useless for anything but voice or text, but it wtill works if I need it.)

This business of letting the phone discharge all the way to 0 is too much trouble for me. What am I supposed to do if I need the phone when it finally croaks? I had made up my mind to buy a zerolemon until I read about this requirement in this thread

For 60 bucks if zerolemon requires a special. Charger or cable they should give it to you imo.

They only recommend that discharge to 0 for the first 6 charge cycles. I'd be surprised if you even needed to do it that many times to still get most/all of whatever 'conditioning' benefit that's supposed to result in. And otherwise, afterwards, the reading I've done about Lithium Ion batteries in general has led me to believe that performing a full recharge when the battery is only down at anywhere from 40-60% charge remaining is actually the best way to keep it performing its best. That's what I've been doing ever since getting my ZeroLemon when it first came out last fall and it's still performing great for me. I usually go somewhere between 48-72 hours between each full recharge. I plug it in to the factory charger before bed and it's completely ready to go again the next morning when I wake up. I don't think anyone could come up with a better battery solution for this device at all. The only thing anyone could complain about is that it's physically so big. But then again, that's the only way to do what it does, so you have to be willing to accept that. I'm a pretty big guy, big hands, etc., so it doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Everyone's different though :)

I just got a 9300 mah zerolemon battery for my galaxy note 2, before I put this battery in, my note 2 would lose charge very fast, so much so that I could watch the percentage drop just by having the screen on.

So I just got this behemoth of a battery yesterday, charged it for the 12 hours like they asked, and still my phone is losing charge very fast. I looked at the battery status, and it says I have 7 minutes of battery life left on a 99% charge. Is there a setting I have to configure in the Android OS? I also have Juice defender running on extreme settings, so there should be no reason as to why my battery is losing charge so fast. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you in advanced.

I would try looking at your apps and find out if any of them are causing a constant drain. Something is on Vampire status with your system so you need to find out what is sucking the power out of it. Do you have any power saving programs that are constantly turning off apps (that are turning themselves back on again)? I used to be a Juice Defender fan myself but got rid of it since the systems pretty much do the same thing.
