Root Stock rom for Z992 (Odexed)

i managed to create a stock odexed ROM i am placing it here for testing

I have a ZTE - Z993 Prelude which is locked to the AIO network, I am wanting to unlock the phone. I either need the "Sim network unlock PIN" or a way to break it away from the locked network. My question is can this be done using the "stock odexed ROM? I am very new to this and every step is a learning experience.

used this and it didnt even do anything to my phone. it went into a bootloop before i used this and when i did use it, it installed but didnt boot it at all. i had to use its sister rom and it booted it completely. my guess is that this rom is missing the trusty boot image and other things to make it function properly. can you get the stock rom again with everything in it. since it also is missing the important build.prop.

You can open the zip to check contents, you are right that the boot.img is not there, many other parts are missing, it is not a complete ROM. I have already flashed the Azazel ROM from the Prelude forum, I don't know of any other stock ROM download for the Avail 2.

good thing is i used the stock prelude for the avail 2 and it booted my phone. only thing is the wifi wont connect. thing is that my avail 2 soft bricked and i didnt know if that would work. it didnt though but the prelude rom worked out alot. now im figuring things out as i go with the rom.

Check the Azazel thread on the Prelude forum, there was some info there about formatting the cache and other tricks that might help.

i got everything working now. took a couple of tries but it works now. only thing now to do is to get everything set up to the at&t version. found out that they both are interchangable somewhat. i have an at&t card in it. i think that you can put an aio sim card in to get the service with aio

Worked fine here, but doesn't help that there are at least 4 different Download buttons on that page, depending on the ads shown.

Right under the description of the file, click the Download button there (next to the Share button), the window will refresh, and you will have options for Priority and Free downloads, sounds like you got that far.

Click the Free Download button, and you should get an overlay window that asks you to download via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and I think Instagram, basically it uses these to authenticate you, after which your download should begin. You may have a popup blocker or something else interfering with this last window?

For what it's worth, this isn't a compete ROM, so depending on why you want this one, it may or may not help you at all.

Ah, my adblocker must've blocked the popup. And I need it for the META-INF folder, specifically the updater script.

I've picked up a 2nd Avail 2 off Craigslist, it's still stock. I'm going to see if I can get the ROM dumped. Never done this before, but I'll post back once I have it.
