Hello,
I recieved my nexus 5 last week as a birthday gift. While exploring the device, I faced a huge problem with the camera. The camera keeps shaking and capturing blurred photos(And sometimes it works perfectly). I don't know if it's a software problem or a hardware problem. Please i need help immediately.
Thanks in advance :)
P.S: i tried booting into safe mode hoping that it would solve the problem, But the problem persisted.

Welcome to the forums! :D

The nexus 5 features optical image stabalization, which should prevent blurry images like you're describing.

However, it sounds like its misbehaving and may be causing the blurry images

Since you just got it, have you tried a factory reset? If it still persists after that you know its a hardware issue, and I'd get in touch with google for a replacement. It will be covered under warranty

First, is there any way i can show you a video shot with my nexus 5 ( like send it by email or something). And second, it doesn't always do that sometimes it works perfectly. And i tried doing a hard reset but the prob persisted so tomorrow i'll try to reinstall the firmware hoping that would solve it.

just upload it to Youtube and share that link here.

About the problem, are you referring to video? or just pictures? If you are seeing blurry pictures, check if you are using HDR+ mode. In HDR+ mode, the camera is taking 3 pictures with different settings, so it takes a little longer (and you need to keep the camera steady for that duration).
Try disabling HDR+ and see if that helps

I'm facing the problem with both videos and pictures

The video is set to private, you can try unlisted. Do you also have any sample photos that shows everything being similar except that one is blurred and one is sharp?

An obvious problem is that blurring will be worse in low light. But if it's present in video, I wonder if what you're describing is actually the autofocus frequently adjusting

Yeah of course i tried that... It tries to focus but end up failing.

My N5 does this pretty frequently too. I've read many others online with similar problems. I do a quick tap where I want to focus, and then time it just right with taking the picture (like a half second between). Of course, this does not work well when taking photos of my two year old. My N4 was WAY WAY better, faster, etc. I'm extremely disappointed with the N5 cameras :(

Oh yeah i forgot to mention that the camera has been fixed after the latest camera update.
Thank you guys
