Verizon pre-order shipped!

I'm glad that at least some of them are being shipped. I ordered within 15 minutes of the preorder going live, but Verizon cancelled my order on Tuesday for possible fraudulent activity (it turns out there was none) and I had to place my order all over again, which pushed my ship by date to 4/14.

Wow...since it was their fault, was there nothing they would do to make it quicker? I ordered Friday evening and mine hasn't shipped yet. I was really hoping to have it in my hands by tomorrow. :mad:

The customer service rep I spoke with about this yesterday said that she would upgrade the shipping method to overnight free of charge, but she said it won't ship out until Friday, so I won't get it until Saturday. However, if I check my status online, it still says the expected ship date is 4/14, so I really have no idea when it will ship. I was really hoping to have mine by tomorrow too, so I share your frustration. Now I'm just hoping I'll have it by next week. I don't think I'll be preordering again after this.

Verizon told me yesterday that mine would be shipping out today and that it would be overnighted. I still don't have any tracking information though. I would think that if it's going to be delivered tomorrow, that it would have at least been scanned in by FedEx by now.

Same here, only they told me it wasn't going to be overnighted (like I had requested). But that is actually better, if it ships today, because I had it shipped to work and I won't be here tomorrow anyway. Still no tracking info for me either. :(

Since I still don't have tracking information, I decided to call Verizon back and they verified that my phone did NOT ship out today and it won't ship until at least Monday. Words can not express my frustration over this whole ordeal. First they tell me my order is cancelled, then say it wasn't cancelled, then tell me it is cancelled and that I have to replace the order, which put me at the back of the line. Then I was told it would ship out today with overnight delivery so I would have it tomorrow. I call and find out that it won't ship out until at least Monday. If I had the time, I'd go into a verizon store and buy one, but I won't have any free time this weekend.

I already called around to the local Verizon stores where I live and all of them are sold out, so going to a store and buying one is not an option for me.

Ugh...that stinks. I'm STILL on hold. I may just make a trip to my local store on the way home and see if they have them available and if they do, cancel my online order. If not, I guess get it next week. What a cluster****.

Still on hold...BUT I did call the store closest to my work and they have plenty of them, so looks like I'm swinging by there in an hour when I get off of work and canceling the online order.

I'm glad you'll be able to get one today. It will be Tuesday or Wednesday of next week for me at the earliest and that's "depending on product availability." It would not surprise me at all if they email me on Monday and tell me that they are out of stock.

Nothing they do would shock me. I know one thing for sure...this is my last pre-order. She came back and told me that my order was "pending" because they didn't receive payment. So I asked her why my confirmation email showed the payment was charged to my Mastercard. I guess that's what took so long for her to try and figure that one out. Finally when she came back on the line I just said nevermind, cancel the order. I normally don't have that lousy service from Verizon.

I just called Verizon back to express my extreme frustration over all this and the rep I spoke with apologized and said there was nothing they could do about it and that the woman who told me that they would upgrade the shipping to overnight was incorrect because they can't do that with new phone launches. She said it will be shipped via the standard 2-day shipping so I should have it by Wednesday. That really sucks because I"m going to be so busy next week that I don't know if I can be around when FedEx comes by. This the last time I ever do a preorder with Verizon. I was one of the first people to place my preorder and I'm sure that everyone else who placed theirs during the same time frame already received it.
