Help Use 4G Internet while on WiFi?

I have a Samsung Note 3, and T-Mobile service.

Is there a way to have my phone be on my home wifi network, but still use 4G for my internet service?

I live outside the city and have slow, metered satellite internet service at home, but great 4G TMo service. I would like to be on my home network so I can access files on my server, control the Sonos, lights, etc, but still access teh web, youtube, etc, using my 4G service on the phone.

Is this possible through a setting or an app? Or is wifi all or nothing - if connected, you cannot use 4G internet?

No, there's no way to tell an app which of two internet connections to use.

Unfortunately Not as WIFI is the primary connection for all Smartphones. The only time this applies is when the Galaxy S5 uses the download booster feature to download using WIFI/4G or 3G. I have an app for that.
