Hi all, I just got a Note 3 yesterday. I chose this as I like to watch sports on the go and the screen is awesome for that.

I'm really disappointed to find I cant get any video on the sites/apps I like to use. Racing UK, Betfair, Bet365 (seems to list every device in the world except a note 3) none of which work. I cant even get a sky go app, says its incompatible.

Is there any way around this? Or do I need to accept the device cannot do what I want and head back to the phone shop for a different device?

Thank you so much in advance.

Note 3 is most latest device and can run everything.

some apps have region/carrier restrictions so they wont work for you on any device.

Not knowing more specifics, I'm willing to guess it my be a issue with your webb browser..... If the site you are going on uses Flash, the videos will not show with the stock browser. That problem is not the Note 3's fault.... ( Unless you do not want the latest tech. )
You will need another browser, (I use Puffin for Adobe Flash).
Look here on the forum and you'll find instructions to get Adobe Flash on your N3.

And this problem is with Android Jelly Bean and newer Operating platforms.
So, it is not the Note 3' s fault. :D

Good luck,

Lateck,

Thank you so much for all your responses. I've been checking and most of these apps have supported devices listed. They all include Note, Note 2 but no Note 3  Seems theyre way behind!

I'll try to look up how to download the .apk for the s4 and i'll also follow the instructions for flash player.

thanks again, i'll report back and hope to spread news of success :D

Lateck,

Actually, thinking about it, this may not be relevant as the problem is when using apps. I could be wrong, I know little about these things

I'll be more specific. I open the app, click on the video icon, on my previous phone (iphone 4s) it just opened and played. On my N3 I either get a loading icon for a split second, before it disappears, or it appears to be loading/buffering then says "Unauthorised you do not have access". Maybe its just the wrong phone for the job :( I was so keen to leave apple, but maybe I was wrong.

I'm starting to think I have a faulty device. Tried to log in to Racing uk and it just keeps saying unknown Response. This heap is going back to the shop.

A good idea, you appear to have a "lemon". I got the "Racing UK" app working no problem, downloaded and used from play store, and "Sky Go" works flawlessly on my mates unrooted completely stock Note 3.

Don't let one bad Note 3 turn you off of them. You were just unlucky to get a "lemon" first time around.

I tried to find some of the betting applications that you use the but I could only find Racing UK. I made a video looking at one of the videos from the application. Is this the same method that you use to watch videos from there?

Betting Apps test

Also related to video streaming on Android. An application in the United Kingdom that allows you to watch streams of past episodes from TV network "ITV" has alot of bad reviews swearing that it doesn't work but it works for me, of which I'm sure I'm not the only one it works for. I am using Jelly Bean 4.3.
