Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

Thanks for everyone suggestions I really appreciate the support that's why I love the forms but turns out it really was the cables I guess all my cables are bad and I also bought a new battery because my old one was warped and taking a while to charge so turns out I needed a new cable and battery I'm still on edge though... Really unsure about the durability of the port

The cable connectors go bad quickly on purpose brother... & if you get more than a 8months out of a li-ion b4 it ballons ur doing better than most.
$30 bucks well spent. Will keep ur prcessors nice & cool...

Yeah lol I was surprised the battery still worked that well lol I should have been more observant and realized about the battery sooner. I didn't really realize that the cables are really cheap though it's a money scheme to keep us buying those cable I tell you, they got over on me lol its alright though it's okay I'd rather buy a new cable then worry about fixing the port

Worse case scenario you could always look into a QI wireless charger. I love mine. I can't remember the last time I plugged my phone in to charge it.

You talked me into looking it up... based off you loving it, I just talked myself into buying it... I just bought the receiver and pad combo and a car charger. It should arrive on Tuesday, I can't wait...

Same subject, different phone... does anyone know if the qi charging work on the HTC one sv? I gave that phone to my wife when s3 came out. I searched Google and can't find a thing.... The back cover of the HTC has a glued in pad that has two connectors that connects to the phone just like the qi receiver does on the s3. It would be nice (and justify the purchase to my wife) if both my phone and my wife's could use the pad and car charger.

I looked for 1 when I had the SV and couldn't find one. That doesn't mean there's not 1 out there. I did do a pretty thorough search though. That's been some time ago though bro. They may have 1 out by now. ;)

I really do like it a lot and I promote it whenever I can. I hate micro-usb. I have 3 phones that have bad ports here. 2 Transform Ultras and my BB Curve. I figure by wireless charging I'm saving the port for when I really need it.

The car mount looks really cool! Let me know how that works out. I have 2 Nokia DT-900 chargers and a similar looking charging receiver. One thing I have noticed is the phone does get a little warmer while charging so watch it with GPS on in the car on a hot day. According to GSAM my battery usually gets around 10 degrees above ambient while charging. It also charges slower, more like USB.

My micro USB works but when I plug into my PC it has an identity crisis. My computer says it can't identify the device is this a windows issue or is this my phone. It charges on the wall plug and the USB on my PC but gives me a problem when trying to transfer files from PC to phone. I have to unplug and plug it in a bunch of times before it recognizes the phone. Its a real pain in the a**. I been using Google drive to transfer files. Anybody else have this issue. Does this on any ROM and my PC is windows vista

It's windows... try uninstalling the drivers for the phone, reboot, reinstall proper phone drivers, and reboot.
That should solve the problem.

Also instead of Google drive, a faster way would be to take out the sd card from the phone and use a sd card reader. much faster transfer rate

Yep total agree with Smith Windows has identity crisis and doesn't know if it wants to identify your phone even though the drivers has been the same and worked for a while happen to me on my desktop uninstalling and installing them again should fix it

i agree it is a much faster transfer rate but the backs of these phones are really cheesy and flimsy im afraid i might break one of them clips that holds it on i rarelly take my case off the phone and thats a hastle in its self (otterbox).

I an currently in liquid smooth and I gotta say I am truly impressed. I may stick with this for awhile, really really snappy and fast.
Only one thing I see that's irritating me. I am using a photo frame widget called "Android photo frame". I can't seem to find a good one that will just let me use a single pick and allow 4x4 as well as 4x2.
Right now Android photo frame when you go into the settings, everything's blown WAAAY huge, and I'm not sure how tall fix it.
So does anyone have either a fix or maybe another app I can use. I've tired a lot of the apps out for single picture frame that supports this dimensions, but so far no good. I'd really like to use this one if I new how to scale down the apps settings.

Hey bro. I know you need some help but you really don't need to post the same question in 2 threads. ;)

Yeah, I was just trying to cover the bases. Figured also maybe someone in the LS thread may not be in here watching this one and/or vice versa. Sorry, didn't mean to be a nuisance :D

You're not a nuisance bro and I didn't mean it that way. :p

When you are addressing an issue having to do with a ROM and that ROM actually has it's own thread, it's best to ask for help in that ROM's thread. You'll have a better chance of getting an answer and it will keep the troubleshooting related to that issue focused in one thread. If anyone else happens to have that issue in the future, they can be directed to one thread instead of trying to sift through the information in 2 threads. See what I mean? ;):)
