Now that Verizon pushed the OTA Let's see what bugs people encounter.

For Me the only Thing i've noticed is a couple apps have some weird things going on but they could just be app problems. I haven't encountered anything major yet.

I pulled update from software upgrade assistant

not a bug but... the status icons like 4G, WiFi and Battery, BT... being all white is a step backwards in my opinion. being able to set their color would be nice.

Edit: the white on light grey is sort of growing on me. I cannot remember if before KK, the status bar was semi-transparent. I am actually liking the implementation.

This could be my imagination, but with the LG remote, I deleted the remote associated with my Samsung TV, and re-created one. I think the result is more reliable operation, but the on-axis sensitivity is still high compared to the XFINITY DVR.

I haven't really noticed anything else except a VuTalk icon in the dialer which I guess would let me share my screen when I'm in a call with another LG user that also has the function.

I'd better look at the changelog to see if there are other things to investigate.

This isn't really a bug, but it's a change I don't like. Although it's a KK thing & not specific to Verizon so maybe doesn't belong in this thread?

I don't like having to pick a texting app as my default. I've been using Handcent for texts (one thing it has that I like is being able to set a specific vibrate text pattern for just texts). I use MySMS to be able to text from my pc (at work we can't install anything & it has a web interface). If anything acts weird with regard to texts I also sometimes go into the stock app to poke around.

Having to set one as your default app is a pain in the butt because as far as I can tell, if I want to use even just Handcent & MySMS, I need to keep switching changing my default app back & forth.

Can someone maybe do me a favor? When you send a text message whether it be through hangouts or your regular texting app. Right when you send the message hold your home button down for your recent apps and see if it shows your recent apps or glitches and takes you to your home screen. Mine has been glitching and just taking me to the home screen and it's been driving me crazy. I gotta big thanks coming your way whoever tests this for me! ☺

Confirmed MightyText still works to text from pc, so I'm dumping MySMS & using MightyText. FYI if anyone is interested, MightyText is for texting from pc's & tablets, it's not used to send messages from your phone - so you can continue using whatever text app you like for texting from phone.

When I tested this, it still shows my recent apps, it doesn't take me to the home screen.

I found the culprit, it's when I turn on Google voice typing. Do you have this enabled? When I send a message on hangouts or the stock messaging app and hold the home button for recent apps while the message is sending it will glitch and take me to the home screen. Soon as I disable Google voice typing it works fine. Anyone else seeing this issue?

I didn't have Google voice typing enabled so I just turned it on & tried again, a long press still takes me to my recent apps.

The status bar was opaque before and VuTalk has always been there.

Could be my imagination. The last two times I tried Wireless charging using my PowerBot Qi charger, the phone seemed much more sensitive to how I placed it on the charger. For the life of me, I cannot imagine the SW update making a difference in this area. However, if others are doing wireless charging with the Verizon variant and notice something similar, perhaps with a different charger, please let me know.

This may be a legit issue... yesterday in my car with the phone connected to BT, I attempted my first voice dialer initiated call since upgrading to KK. The syntax previously was Dial xxx xxx xXxX or Call Contact at Home ! Mobile... This time the phone could not understand my commands. Really terrible, where before 90 percent or better success...

I will try disconnecting/unpairing, and a few other experiments. I might try Googling and clearing the cache of the responsible software element ??? Then even a FDR if it comes to that. :D

Ummm, well, I went into the dialer, and the syntax doesn't even support the command: DIAL XXX XXX XXXX". I think I need a voice dialer replacement (if there is such a thing). FWIW: No problems with Google Search or Voice Mate processing my voice. Grrrrrr.

Notification Bar? Oh yeah, on the left we see notifications, and on the right we see status. Hmmm maybe synonymous with Status Bar.

So strange, I just tried Knock Off in the Status Bar (not the pulled down notification shade), on the extreme left and right and in the middle at least 10 times total, and on my phone - the phone shutdowns the screen... I did not get a Date/Time settings display.

You can unload your home screen by moving some icons to another home screen (you have several). Also laying icons on top of one another will arrange them in folders.

If you are double-tapping somewhere on the Notification Shade (I think that's what it's called), expect something relevant to the thing to tap on to activate.

Am I off base here?
