Hey guys, just bought the Incredible yesterday, my first smart phone (coming from a chocolate touch, feels like a child's toy compared to the Incredible). I'll be around these parts now trying to help out the forums as much as possible. r00t.
When I bought the Incredible, I was asking the dude at best buy if I could turn off sense if I didn't like it (I'm digging it right now). He kinda circled around my question and said if I turn dev mode on in the phone, I can basically install any other operating system I please, given they conform to memory/processor specs (Windows 7 starter, Debian, etc.). I found this to be pretty interesting. Anyone know more on this?
Also, I know the phone has the built-in Mobile Broadband Connect feature. I've been using PDANet with no problems so far for tethering on the Incredible. Any advantages/disadvantages to either? Is Verizon charging extra for MBC? Are they basically the same thing?
I love buying a phone I researched extensively and STILL finding out about features I didn't know about...the above, TV-Out...ahhhhh i love open source!
