Root [Boost Mobile] [ROM] Official LiquidSmooth Nightlies!!

I can't move anything to sd00, that location is empty too. The only location I can move to is emulated, other than external SD card. I moved the Ringtones to emulated folder and rebooted and the Ringtones DID Not stick it went back to this unknown Ringtones. Anyone have any suggestions? Like I said, I think I might have screwed something up when I activated and deactivated call forwarding.

The way some roms read is weird. I've seen multiple setups and some just have a weird Nameing/setup.
In this case you will have 3 or 4 folders.

Emulated
Sdcard0
Usbdisk
And
SD card

Of those you should only be able to read or see two of them, the rest will be empty. Those should be SD card and emulated, the rest are empty. Emulated will have 2 folders under it named

Internal memory
and
Legacy.

You will want to use the one named internal memory, make a folder called Ringtones. Mine is upper case R but I'm not sure if it has to be case specific or not. I just know mine is upper case R and the rest is lower case. Then copy (not move) your ringtones to that folder, it should then stick. You may need to reboot also. Again make sure you are in the internal memory folder not legacy.

You can do this with notifications and alarms as well, in their named folders of course.

I'm not sure why the legacy folder is there really, because from what I can tell is they are both the exact same thing. I do know the system uses the internal memory folder as apposed to the legacy folder.

I just thought of something else to.... Make sure you have read and write access to that folder too. Not sure why you wouldn't, just throwing all possible solutions out there

If I'm not mistaken it should be under security or lockscreen settings
That's the aosp lockscreen

Yeah I don't see anything in either place about aosp lock screen. I've searched all the settings and such and can't find where to shut it off. Sometimes it has that lock screen I pictured and other times it has the normal lock screen with my widget and the default targeted unlock.

I'll have to look and see in a bit, at work right now. Meanwhile, it sounds like you may have a mod installed, do you by chance have any mods installed such as xposed mods,? I know there is one called something like gravity box or something and it has that option. You'll have to go into the mod to adjust it though.

I was going to answer these guys but, man you have the answer to everyones questions lol would you happen to know anything about that post I posted

If you mean about the unicorn mod, I haven't used that mod, but it should be the same as any other move to system folder. I use viper4android sound modification mod and for it to work correctly I have to move it to the system/apps folder then reboot, otherwise it never sticks.
Sorry I couldn't be more help but I am thinking it would as I said, be like any other app moving just cut and paste it into system/app folder.
Most of the apps install under data/app folder by default. For those to be seen as system apps move them to that system/app folder and reboot. That's where the system /OS looks for the system type apps.
Hope that helps

Oh no mods here at all. Don't like using xposed honestly lol

Without using a mod of any kind the only way I can see to get rid of it is go into security, then screenlock and set that to none.
Not exactly what I would choose because anyone can get into the phone at any time, but if your good with that, that's all I can see to disable it. I personally have a pattern set in 3x3 mode.

So this is an odd question but what exactly is a "dirty" flash. I have only ever done a clean flash. I always clean data and cache and use the option to install a new ROM. However I'm sick of reinstalling everything.

So how exactly does on dirty flash? Thanks again!!

Dirty is basically non-clean, or not a fresh install kinda like a clean install of windows, as compared to an upgrade install over the top of the older OS.
So you would have say cyanagen rom currently, then you wanna install liquidrom so you just go to recovery and flash liquidrom, aka: dirty flash without clearing stuff out formatting anything.

Okay so say I want to upgrade to the latest LS I would just boot to recovery wipe cache. Flash the nightly and then wipe cache again and reboot?

Personally I always recommend doing a clean flash, then you know nothing else that exists inter fears, but that's me. I've had issues in the past not doing a clean flash.

In recovery:
Format for new rom
Clear cache and dalvich cache

Then install rom then gapps

Gotcha. Sorry I thought he disliked how it looked. My bad. Thanks for the help btw

Yeah he said in the picture any way to "disable" this so I took it as to disable the lock screen.
I could be wrong and if so maybe there needs to be more clarification so as to better able to help.

Glad to help, I know I've had my share of help, ask any of the regulars here, they had to hold my hand in some cases :D hehe, so I'm glad when I can pass it on.

Right, it only modifies the exsisting, it doesn't disable it or get rid of the lock at all, and from the thread post and pic I gather they wanna get rid of the lock, not modify it in any way.

This is what my lock screen looks Like when active display is off. Hence why I thought it was active display. Also I think pocket mode enables that screen

Yeah mine looks the same when I'm not using a pattern lock. Since I have a pattern lock on, I disabled having the lock screen before so all I see is the pattern. I don't have active display enabled though and still get the lock screen like yours.
