My HTC Desire's being replaced, are all my apps backed up?

Apps won't be backed up. If you have paid apps you will be able to download them again from the Market without paying again.

Non-protected apps can be backed up with 'App Monster'

Photos should be on your SD card.

To backup contacts you should go into the 'People' app and press the Menu button.
Go to 'Import/Export' then 'Export to SD card'

Alternatively you can sync them all to Google so they will always download automatically from your Google account :)

To do this..

I Exported them to SD card. Then pressed Menu again and imported them from SD card and chose the 'Google Contacts' option. You'll have a load of duplicate contacts now so Press Menu button go to 'View' and select only 'Google'.

Then go To your Settings -> Accounts & Sync -> Google -> Sync Now

Edit: Hmm making an edit removes the thanks :p

Thanks

All of my apps are free, so does that mean I have to install them all again one by one?
