4.4.3 official will be out this weekend. We want to add in a few more minor fixes and additions then we're going to get the ball rolling.

Awesome!!! Thank you sir!
Not to knock anyone else.... But even though there is a couple other DU 4.4.3 builds already. I have been waiting exclusively for your build release. I know and am confident that you're more likely to work out any additional bugs, add extra features and make sure that the build is stable.

I've been running the DU 06/07 test build with Furnace kernel since its release as is, with zero mods to system/kernel and everything has been great! I haven't experienced a single reboot or hiccup like I did on 06/03 build.

So what's your thoughts on the Furnace kernel so far?
Do you think you'll keep Furnace kernel on 4.4.3?

I'm also curious on anyone else's thoughts and feedback so far on Furnace kernel.

Well, I was against adding it. Previously, I had some poor experiences with the kernel, but Savoca's done great work since I had last tried it. I figured it couldn't hurt to try, but now everyone seems to be smitten with the kernel. Most specifically the idle time.

Going forward, it is likely that I will keep Furnace in. However, he has recently switched to Linaro, which I am not ok with. Granted, there's nothing that I can do about it. I don't know enough about kernels to go in and compile under GCC 4.8.3 on my own.

All in all, I could just apply patches to what we currently have based on what Savoca adds in the future.

As for others compiling from DU source - I love the community we have, but I dislike that these unofficial compilers take no responsibility for their actions. They immediately send their users to us looking for answers to bugs, etc. That's not right. They all should have disclaimers indicating that we are not responsible for anything done unofficially. We have enough to contend with our normal users without having to deal with silly questions from those not even using the work we directly release.

Just downloaded and installed the 6/12 build. Is it now missing the kernel tweaker or do I need to do a clean install? I have FKU so not a big deal, but I was surprised. Everything working smooth as silk and boy is it speedy! :D

Nice!!
Yeah, kernel tweaker was removed from the build. Personally I liked it. I'll just have to use a different one... Gives me a good reason to buy FKU though.

I thought I'd give the DU TBO Gapps another go but again with a clean flash and factory reset I still get hangouts crashing :(

I haven't restored anything from titanium, I literally clean flash the rom, the gapps and it crashes every time. I don't get it :(

I don't understand either. I don't use Hangouts, but it opens and lets me do stuff. I assume you are now on the 6/12 build NYCHitman1 posted and not that unofficial build. If not, try that.

I doubt this will help, but there is a new version of the DU TBO Gapps for 4.4.3.

I am using the latest NYCHitman1 build and the latest updated DU TBO Gapps. I've clean flashed twice. I have no idea what else to try. Looks like it's back to PA Stock Gapps.

I couldn't find any mention about why it was removed. Broken? Buggy? Drama even? But it does seem to be in the play store, (xda thread). No mention of 4.4.3 in that thread or play store reviews so I'm not sure if it works. I won't get a chance to mess around with the phone for awhile, so I'll leave this info for others to try

There was an issue with it with the furnace kernel.

Haven't tried that, will try later and report back.

That is odd that Hangouts is crashing on you, especially after a clean install of DU.
I'm on the DU 06/12 test build as well (which is pretty Freakn Sweet! :D ) and I'm still using the old 4/11 DU TBO Gapps. In fact I'm going to download the newest version right now and flash it.
I'd definitely either try what Brian706 suggested or you could try booting to recovery and wipe dalvik/cache and reflash the DU TBO Gapps again or a different version even.
