How can i use this recovery tools and for what it serve?

ps. sorry if I'm asking something very basic

anytime you root phones, i always look for getting a custom recovery. you can make nandroid backups which is a way to backup your phone in case something goes wrong you have something to fall back to.

also custom recoveries allows you to flash custom roms. these are software where the devs take the initial os code and add things to it or remove bloatware among other things.

there should be stock rooted roms that you can flash or you can go for some of the other roms that are out there.

It sounds like the problem the Samsung galaxy S4 got rooting by various methods.

Right to get back to stock working firmware we need to know what firmware (rooted makes no difference) you are on. Please type in *#1234# in the dialler and post exactly what the three lines are, a screen shot would be great. Once you've done that I'll find out what firmware your on and give you a link to download it from SamMobile and if your unsure tell you how to flash it.

Same thing for me. Rooted the other day with towelroot. 900V for me. No custom recovery yet. Was going to try installing a rom to see if it will fix it. Also I'm on kitkat.
you will need a custom recovery before flashing a rom.......i would not recommend doing anything until you get a recovery and make a nandroid backup in case something goes wrong.

To add to ocnbrze's excellent advice I cannot stress how important it is that a ROM and a custom recovery is 100% compatible with your device model. I wouldn't get any ROM that is advertised as "should" work with my model if it is primairly for a different model of Note 3.

Once a custom recovery is installed and of course your successfully rooted, please, please do your self a favour and do an EFS backup and a Nandroid. Much pain and suffering can be avoided with these two backups.
