Hi all. I just got my Galaxy S4 yesterday, and I need to root it. I've gone through the standard gaggle of youtube videos, but none of them were for my version and all had warnings of bricking the phone if not done properly. So that kind of scared me a little bit.

I was hoping that someone here could help me out with a link or something, to the correct one click odin, or perhaps another method.

Here are the details of my phone:

Samsung SGH I337

Android version 4.4.2

Baseband version: i337UCUFNC1

Kernel Version: 3.4.0-1125940

just rooted mine this weekend with it and I have already removed so much bloatware that it really seems the OS is lighter on its feet.

Man that's what I'm looking to do! Is there any way you could list off what all you removed? I'm not quite familiar enough with Android, or the factory stuff that comes on the S4, to be confident enough to remove it.

Perhaps there is a list somewhere, of stuff that is safe to remove? I also don't want to accidentally remove stuff that would cause me to miss out on some great stuff. But I'm willing to bet that most of it is just bloatware.

What is NC1?

And when it comes to the bootloader, I assume that just means I won't be able to boot stuff like Cyanogen mod and such?

NC1 is the current version of KitKat 4.4.2 for the AT&T GS4 (i337). Note the last 3 digits of your baseband in your OP.

And yes, that is my understanding of how the locked bootloader works.
