Screen Resolution?

I've been looking at YouTube reviews of the Volt. The biggest complaint is always the screen resolution. Is it bad?

I currently have an LG Optimus F3 (which has a 4 inch screen) and I am perfectly content with it - to me it looks great.

Is the Volt resolution at least as good as the F3 resolution?

thanks

The IPS LCD panel in the Volt is fine with its 960 by 540 resolution with a pixel density of 237ppi. Coming from the F3, the screen is going to look noticeably sharper. The ones complaining about the screen resolution are tech reviewers who are used to 1080p devices.

Also, with lower screen resolutions you will achieve greater battery longevity but to answer the OP's original question...YouTube recently updated their app and now the 480 Quality is remarkably great!

Actually I was talking about people reviewing the Volt on YouTube and saying the Negative of the phone was the video resolution (not specifically on YouTube, but overall). But good to know the YouTube app was fixed. Thanks.

Its mostly spec snobs saying the screen resolution is bad. I showed my friend my phone yesterday but didn't tell him what it was until after.

We both loaded up my digital copy of Fast & Ferious 6 and played it on my Volt and his S5 side by side and he was saying "I can't believe you finally got a top of the line phone with HD display". That was when I told him what my phone is and it was only $150; he pulled the specs and couldn't believe that "it has that low of resolution" but looked just as good as his S5.

Personally I don't see a point in screens under 5" needing "super HD" display as almost nobody can tell the difference anyway at that size scale.

I have no use for 1080+ screen resolutions...I am fine with either 480/720! :smokingsomb:

Not sure I understand how that would be as they both have IPS LCD panels with identical pixel densities. To me the screens look about the same with the Volt being larger.
