Accessories Extended Battery - Expected release date: 05/28

According to this site, the extended battery isn't due out until the end of the month:

That's for a third party vendor. I don't think they are making the ones for VZW, as those are OEM, both battery and door. The ones VZW is selling should be sooner (at least we hope).

This does bring up some excitement, though, to see how many accessories and third party vendors make stuff for our bad boys...

I think it's also worth mentioning that Seidio has a 3500mAh extended battery "coming soon" I plan on calling them tomorrow to see if I can find out when to expect it and also to see if they are going to be manufacturing a body glove and\or case to fit the increased size... and if so, when to expect that.

they are probably finding a way to add more "ridges" to the new battery door

I went to the VZW store and they were gonna order me a extended battery and door and it would have gotten here in 2 days. I also called and a CSR told me they are in stock. They cost 59.99 comes with back cover.

I'd actually suggest going the a battery warehouse if you're just looking for a standard battery. Amazon is also your friend. If it exists and is available to the public, you can find it on Amazon.

The batteries aren't even a different color. The color is just a paper cover glued to the battery

I ordered these same ones you get when you say it's an Eris they work OK the stock one is better but it's a nice back up and the charger works fantastic

Hmm I thought about the 3500 when I had my Eris , and now I'm thinkin gabout it for my Incredible but does anyone know if they have plans to make a case that fits over the extended battery also is the back cover going to have the same leveled look??

thanks for the tip...i just got an eris battery so i don't need the batteries but i was looking at just getting the charger....well after looking it's like 6 bucks shipped...the charger + 2 batteries is 13 bucks shipped.i might just get the extra batteries too.

YEah I only wanted the 1 extra battery and charger but it was like $2 more for the 2nd . Figured what the hell I'll take an extra one

I'm not sure if I would do that. I heard some weird things about those batteries on the Eris forum a while back. But I did buy the charger alone for a couple of bucks and it works great. I'll pull my battery when it drops below 20%, charge it while I have a fresh one in, and have it ready for use the next time. Two batteries should be fine and you now have 2 OEMs.
