Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

I downloaded the newest LiquidSmooth using LTE yesterday. Today I got the newest AICP, Carbon and Cyanogen because I hit some decent WiFi. I don't plan to look at them until this weekend.

Wicked-X is running great. I have been impressed with the battery life too. Not a problem anyway since I use the Zerolemon, but considering the three roms, and multimegabytes of podcasts that I downloaded today, it is especially impressive.

I also got the Conquest Singularity Rom ready to try out. Nice long weekend coming up.

Conquest is nice. You add Comadose with the special 75% entropy made by Bilgerryan and man oh man you got something seriously fast.

Let me know and I'll hook you up with the links for it if you need them. You have to take Ryan's entropy file and manually add it.

Hello and welcome to flashaholics anonymous. Our first guest will be wyelkins. (Audience Clapping).

Hello my name is wyelkins, and I'm a flashaholic.

Hello wyelkins and welcome.

.

YES, Brothers, I have woken in a stupor after a lost weekend of flashing only to realize that I did not recognize the rom that was on the phone beside me. Or it's name.

The first step is to admit that you are powerless over flashing. The next 11 steps are all the same

Hi dud I'm looking for the link for comadose !!

Hey dud, try looking in the MODS, KERNELS & PRL INFORMATION section of this thread. A Google search works well too when looking for something like that.

Just a heads up, if you are running the newest 4.4.2 Kit Kat bootloader you'll need to download and push a new entropy file to the root of your phone.

Look at my post in the link below. It also contains the Comadose link and it contains the link to Bilgerryan's entropy fix for Comadose. If you're still running the 4.3 bootloader you don't need to worry about the entropy fix. As I mentioned earlier, it's only for the ROMS on the 4.4.2 bootloader.

You may also want to read the posts following my post in the link above. A few of them pertain to the entropy fix and one of our members here getting it working on his phone.

Just read an article on the best selling smartphones for last month. The S3 is still in the top 10. Pretty amazing for a 2 year old phone.

I can't believe that I have had mine for 11 great months.

Agreed. S2 was ok, but S3 was a very noticeable upgrade and improvement over the S2. From there it's very minimal on upgrade, not enough for me to warrant upgrading. There are subtle increases aside from the processor but not anything major for me really, not even the S5.
If I "had" to choose or upgrade I'd go for the S5 for sure.
Don't get me wrong, both the 4 and 5 are very upstanding and nice phone, just not enough to make me rush out and trade/upgrade my S3 for.
S3 for me will hold me even still for some time to come. Only thing I would really trade my phone for is that projector type phone they have out called the samsung galaxy beam. It's a smaller screen and a slower phone but the projector part of it for me would MORE than make up the difference. If you've never heard of what I'm talking about look it up. The phone has a small projection port on the top of the phone and can projector up to a 50 ft screen size (drool). Not sure what the res is that big but I'm good with that even at low res. The possibilities of the projection part of the phone are almost endless, presentations, Netflix, use an app to show off things, and I'm sure there are more possibilities I missed.
The screen is also 3.5 but again that's ok with me as well.
The phone sadly only sells overseas and not in the US, and I doubt it will anytime soon. It's like 4 years old in think and was a passing fad, so I don't see it getting here in the states.
So that being said this S3 will hold me over.......more so than the S2 ever did.

Seems like you could still buy one online and use WiFi or the Hotspot on your S3. It is GSM anyway so it won't activate on Boost. Radios might not be compliant in the US but Wifi should work

Yeah. I'm not around WiFi that often so I'll want the 3g to work. I'd switch companies if needed as well, but I don't think I'll have to even worry about it reaching the states anyways.

Use your s3 and tether for WiFi for your projector beam! Pick up a used one from eBay or something... if anything it would make a good pocket toy and just whip it out and watch a movie on any wall... kinda awesome

Man, that's a trip. I've never heard or seen anything like this phone until now. I wonder just how clear the actual projection is? I do believe I'll take a trip over to YouTube and see if they have any videos of it in action. :D

Yep its pretty cool.

I'm not sure how exactly clear it is, but at 50ft it can't be to much of an issue :D

If for no other feature other than the projection part it's worth it for me.

I rarely use my camera or video at all, the rest is negotiable as I really am not on my phone a drastic amount.
Things I use in a regular basis or daily basis are:
-Alarm clock to wake up to
- weatherbug to check the weather and in my situation that's a plus sometimes.
-youtube now and then probably 1 to 2 times a week maybe, for research and when I get bored
-internet, but it's occasional really because it's also mainly to look things up and to research.
- phone calls and texts of corse which is a given I'd think.

Other than that I just don't spend a lot of time on my phone.

If I had a projector I'd get a Netflix account and spend a ton of time watching and re-watching movies though.
