Dude. Im a Fire Fighter in the local town I live in. I deal with the loss of life, fires, the sick, and other situations. To go off on me for asking a question was a bit much. I merely was asking did it stay in or was it just used to download and then have to pull it out. Im new to smartphones and am on here for help. There is no need for someone like you to come on here and act like that to people who are trying to figure things out with a new phone, looking for help! I deal with people everyday, thankfully we dont come across people like you too often.

You did get a free 2 gb card with the phone, right?

Under the battery cover, on one side, you'll see a slot for the card Stick 'er in until you feel it click. To remove it, push on it until it clicks. It will then pop out enough to pull it out.

My strategy is to get as many of the apps, photos, music, etc on the SD card. I've got a 16 gb card, so that's no problem.

I have a clue. Just need a little assistance. I normally dont have trouble with any electronics. Ive owned many phones and all video game systems. This Android OS is just a little diffrent then what Im used to. So those who are here to learn and help others, we all thank you. We have to stick together again Apple.

The trouble with forums like this is that it's real easy to be misunderstood.

I don't know if you "have a clue" or not. There are some questions being asked on this board by people who don't seem to.

I don't consider that to be a shortcoming...and I expect many of these people to be experts in short order.

I may one day ask a question that, to many people, the answer is painfully obvious. It might be to me as well, if I had two functioning brain cells that talked to each other occasionally.

I'd hope that someone would extend to me the same level of patience that I've tried to extend on this forum. In any crowd of people with like interests there will be a few for whom something will be a first time.

Too preachy? Sorry...

Also, if you use the HTC Music app that comes with the phone, you can select a song to play, then go to Menu->Set as Ringtone to set any song you have on your SD card as a ringtone ( and if its long enough, you can trim it up from there. )

Also, using the usb cable, you can connect your phone to your PC to download any song from your PC to your SD card:)

So far, the phone has taken all of the audio formats I've thrown at it, even ogg.

Also, what kind of battery issue are you having? Have you been ignoring the battery indicator ( It is WAY off for awhile, until it can calibrate. Just go until the phone turns itself off for the first couple charges, then start charging at around 30 percent. ) What do you have on/off? Sync, Live Wallpaper, Enable Always-On Mobile Data, etc. What are your battery usage numbers? Settings->About Phone->Battery->Battery Use ( Including up time and awake time.. ), do you put the phone to sleep ( by pressing the power button ) every time you finish with it, or do you let it sit and put itself to sleep?...ohh, and how much time is it you are getting? Don't expect to go a full week:) Even 3 days is pushing it, but probably reachable with fairly low usage.
