To all NEW to BE Sprint Customers

I don't know why people feel bad for this guy, he himself posted this information, and it's absolutely legit, it's simply a referral program.

I used to be in Everything Plus but I realized it would be a bit cheaper when I got a job that offered a discount, so just make sure to check what works best for you beforehand.

Everything Plus Referral Program

You've been invited by a Sprint employee to purchase Sprint service at discounted pricing through this private shopping experience.

How Everything Plus Works

Due to the deep discounts Sprint offers through our employees, the following Everything Plus program policies apply:

During checkout, you will need to provide a valid Sprint employee e-mail address and the last three digits of the employee ID (CID) for the Sprint employee who referred you to the Everything Plus Referral Program.

Standard consumer credit check and two year contract terms apply.
Everything Plus is an exclusive offer through www.sprint.com/everythingplus or by calling 1-888-882-4030 - Everything Plus is not available through Sprint Retail stores or other sales channels.
Available to new Sprint customers or existing Sprint customers adding a new line of service (not available for migration from an existing line of service).
Everything Plus customers can upgrade their device through any Sprint-owned Retail Store, Telesales (888-822-4030), or sprint.com.

Adding to an Existing Sprint Account

The Everything Plus plans are only available to current Sprint customers that are activating a new line of service. Please note that due to the service plan discounts involved, Sprint can add your new Everything Plus device only to an existing Everything Plus or a former Sprint SERO program account. If you have an Everything Plus or SERO account, simply proceed through the online shopping site, select the "Add order to existing account" tab during checkout, and enter your current Everything Plus/SERO account details.

If your current Sprint account is not part of the Everything Plus or former SERO program, we will create a new Everything Plus account for this new line of service. Please select the "Create a new account" tab during the check out process. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but hope you will appreciate the deep monthly discounts this allows us to provide to you.

Family Plans

Purchasing New Service with a Family Plan:

You may sign up for one of the new Sprint Everything Plus Family Plans online by purchasing two or more devices with new lines of service. As you proceed through the shopping path, you will be prompted to select the number of devices for your new shared plan (two or more) and the services and accessories for each.

Swapping/Adding to your Existing Everything Plus Account:

If you have an existing Everything Plus or SERO individual line of service and would like to swap to a new family plan, you may call 888-882-4030 to process your request. If you have already purchased an Everything Plus family plan and would like to add one or more additional subscribers to share your minutes, please call 888-882-4030 to process your request. Swapping your current Everything Plus plan or adding additional lines of service to your Everything Plus family plan cannot be performed online at this time.

I have a question about this plan, hopefully somebody has the answer... It seems like if you get this plan, you have to jump through hoops to get things: Does anyone that has this plan have any problems adding lines/changing plan down the road, upgrading, etc..?

What do you mean hoops you have everything in this thread you need. If you go to the site it tells you what addling lines costs ext??

No its not a big deal you just have to order everything through it and get the Evo then..

It brings the 1500 minute Everything Data Family Plan from $129.99 to $109.99 and bumps up the minutes to 1600. If only this thread came up when the EVO was released...

I have been looking into the EVO on the sprint network and am thinking it would be smarter for my family to be on the sprint network because the data is included with the plan, whereas I believe, verizon you have to pay $30 for each device.

Now if we were to switch, would our plan be $149.99 with this discount? That is because the first 2 devices are included and the next 2 devices are $19.99 each. Just clarifying my thought process..

Also, I have a few more questions I hope someone could answer or at least point me in the right direction (forum/post/webpage).

1. Switching carriers we will have different coverage, but from what I have read Sprint can roam on Verizon. Do we pay a rate to roam? How does the coverage compare (maybe thats a bad question..)?

2. Could someone tell me, hopefully from experience, how switching carriers was for you? One point might be (look at 1) how has coverage been since switching? Or customer service (this is definately a selling point for me)?

3. Unfortunately we don't have 4G in my area and probably won't within the first year, so it will be a 3G phone. I thought I read that with 3G you have a 5gb cap on data if used as a hotspot, but data is unlimited otherwise.. right??

Keep in mind that I am not the account holder for my family plan, but I feel it would be better financially and well more advantageous (EVO is a great phone with a lot of capabilities) for us to switch. Two of our devices already have data plans and the other 2 are looking to get a data plan.

I am just looking for some helpful information into the whole subject I guess you could say and I would appreciate some knowledge from some knowledgeable people to further my decision for switching carriers. :D

I apologize for the long post..

First check and see if your job gets a discount with Sprint if not look at my first post

Also what is your zip code?

Yes
For the $109.99 1600 min plan the addon lines are $14.99

Also, I have a few more questions I hope someone could answer or at least point me in the right direction (forum/post/webpage).

1. Switching carriers we will have different coverage, but from what I have read Sprint can roam on Verizon. Do we pay a rate to roam? How does the coverage compare (maybe thats a bad question..)?

It is usally fine, I have no issues with Sprint CS or coverage. We can roam on Verizon for voice and data for free. The data is 1x so not the fastest but better than nothing. On the voice side, if you are roaming your mins will come from your 1500 mins even if you are calling a cell phone also you are limited to about 50% of your voice usage in roaming. While you are on sprint's network you will have unlimited calls to any cell phone and nights at 7. On the coverage map it depends on your area you will have to take a look, here in Indiana sprint kills verizon in coverage .

2. Could someone tell me, hopefully from experience, how switching carriers was for you? One point might be (look at 1) how has coverage been since switching? Or customer service (this is definately a selling point for me)?

CS - Great, Coverage - Great.
Be understanding sometimes the provider you are leaving can and will take forever. It took Verizon about a month to give up my old number, they kept calling me and wanting me not to switch.

3. Unfortunately we don't have 4G in my area and probably won't within the first year, so it will be a 3G phone. I thought I read that with 3G you have a 5gb cap on data if used as a hotspot, but data is unlimited otherwise.. right??

Unless they change anything phones have no limit and of course if you do 30gbs they might call you.

THANKS for allll the helpful info... the plan was even cheaper than what I thought. :) My zip code is 58104 (North Dakota) and Sprint covers our area, but not much of the rest of ND... That is why I was wondering how coverage and roaming would be with Verizon on the Sprint Network (because I have relatives in parts of the state that don't seem to be in the coverage area), so it would be crucial to know we won't be dropping calls or have poor coverage when we leave town.

When you roam (that is, if you do) do you have problems??

As for the discount you were referring to, would this be added on to the employee discount, or do I just hope its greater than the employee discount? haha

Also, from what I read previously in the thread it says I can only apply the discount online (that is, if I use the employee discount). What if my family wants to go into the store to set up our new account? Do I need to convince them that it needs to be set up online in order to save more money?

BTW, my family is now more interested in switching! Thanks again :D

I do in one town, when I do everything works as normal, but there is a setting on my Pre, that says Sprint only you have to turn it to auto, and turn data roaming on. But thats not big deal

Well with the plan above you can not add a discount. But lets say if your job gives you 25% off Sprint then you should just go with the regular plan.

Also, from what I read previously in the thread it says I can only apply the discount online (that is, if I use the employee discount). What if my family wants to go into the store to set up our new account? Do I need to convince them that it needs to be set up online in order to save more money?

Yes, to do the plan above they have to either call or do it online. You should port your numbers last, Sprint will give you a temp number and then you can port your numbes. Just to be safe you know

Your Zip didn't work for me I had to put 58102, Voice and 1x data you will be fine it looks like they are in the process of upgadeing it to EVDO which is high speed.

BTW, my family is now more interested in switching! Thanks again :D

Also be sure to tell your friends and family about what you have learned :) don't just keep it to yourself.
