Ugh, someone asked how I liked the Eris!

So someone saw me using my phone today and asked me how I liked the Eris. I was like, wtf, this is the N1! They said, hmm, looks just like the Eris.

I had no comeback for that.

Anyone else get this?

In my N1 days, I would say... "This is THE Google phone. The Nexus One." Then explain why it's better. (Although 2.1 updates on the others is closing the gap as to what differences you can show.)

i've gotten that a few times as well. always by the type of person who thinks apple invented the smartphone. actually they probably don't even know what a smartphone is. they only know iphone.

Well those that ask, never owned an iPhone, but since Apple marketed the iPhone so well. The majority of the population just associates all smartphones with big touch screens as iPhones. And when you tell them that, 'no this isn't an iphone', which they usually respond, 'oh it's a rip off of the iPhone'. 'No, smart touch phones have been on the market before the iPhone, like the LG Prada' (I know bad example...but that's all I could think of at the time)

it used to annoy me and i would sometimes get into heated discussions but i don't bother anymore. now i just say whatever and change the subject since it's pointless discussing smartphones with people so brainwashed by apple's marketing. it's just not worth it.
