Great stuff Sasa, glad things seem to be settled for you mate.
The honour is all mine, as I loved your work when I had my S2.
Just a shame you went down the S3 and not the S4 route.

As I'm on 2-yearly contracts, I'll invariably be on the even-numbered Galaxy's, so hopefully one day you might get an S6 so I can rekindle my great NeatROM days of old!

completely off topic but it's slagging ironass so mods don't delete ;-)

All because I indulged in some polite, innocent, conversation with one of the few female members of our forums. I don't know what the world is coming to.

Just a quick, "heads up", on the latest i9100 AOSP NeatROM v5.8 (4.4.3).

To improve the signal I tested a number of modems with the above build and in the end the BVLS4 beat the XXMS2 and XXMS3 when it came to signal quality in this area, (Cotswolds, UK), and on Vodafone.

DO NOT use a Modem+RIL combo on the 4.4.3 build. Instead, just stick to the modem from the Android 4.1.2 releases.

Apologies if i should start a new thread, but as this relates to NeatROM i thought i would add it here. I have been running v5.8 for a few days now and have noticed a few issues or quirks......or possibly mistakes i am making.

1. When switching off Bluetooth i sometimes get a Bluetooth icon stuck on the top left of the screen. A reboot is the only way to get rid of it.
2. I have had two mornings where the alarm has failed to go off. I unlock the screen and see "Clock has stopped responding". Today i have cleared the cache and data and reset the alarm so will see if that fixes it.
3. I have tweaked the vibration settings but i still find the vibration level for text messages a little on the low side which means if the phone is on silent i can miss texts.
4. I do miss having email schedules for peak and off peak times, could this be added?
5. I have had an issue with Media Scanner and battery drain. I know this is related to my SD card and have formatted it this morning which has fixed it. I will start to slowly add data to it and monitor it closely.

I would like to thank Sasa for his excellent hard work, he has been great at helping me with several issues and I hope to add to my previous donation so he can continue supporting the galaxy s2!

Just flashed v5.9, another cracker, all working well. In fact just got out my s4 to compare, and there is absolutely no noticeable difference in performance. Impressive stuff!

2. This ROM is so good that, like the song, "New York, New York", "they named it twice"
