Getting my Incredible tomorrow

My Incredible arrives tomorrow. I'm coming from a Blackberry and, needless to say, I'm gunna have questions. Lots of them.

I spent a good part of the weekend reading up on Incredible/Android. I'll probably put swype on the phone early on. I'll also read the other threads about which-apps-to-install-first.

Anyhow, just writing because I'm excited about the Incredible and joining the AndroidForums.com community officially.

Welcome here I came from BB also....hope you like you DInc as much as I do it's a killer phone! Also take a gander at the Eris forum on how to improve battery life it's invaluable

Make sure you properly cycle your battery a couple times when you first get it ( About 5 cycles, from full charge to turns itself off. ), and completely ignore the battery indicator for the first week or 2. Also, I recommend turning off the enable always-on mobile data. ( Everything should still update with that off. )

If you get 6 hours or less of usage, even at very heavy use, something is wrong.

Other than that...enjoy! It's a great phone!

Bingo. This is done to calibrate the battery indicator. It's also helps once every couple months to do this to re-calibrate. ( Though you only need to cycle probably 1 time then. )

Says the same for me too 5/14 and I was hesitant to order but I did anyways at about 10pm MST last night and I just got the email a few minutes ago saying it has shipped

I dont know how I ever survived without swype. The learning curve was 30 minutes and its amazingly accurate. Install it first thing! Have fun.
