LG G3 Accessories Thread

Yeah, they feel the same except the thin section of the tpu material around the screen is glossier on the side facing the screen. Almost like a normal glossy tpu case. But there is a ridge on top and on the other side of that ridge is the same matte material on the other case. It's not really noteworthy and I am not sure why it is like that but it looks good. Just glossier on one little section around the screen. I don't even know if a picture would show it. Nice case though and I like the more edgy design of that case. Will make for a good change of pace :)

Sorry to quote myself but have some pics of the black case.

Here are pictures of my Seidio Surface with metal kickstand (holster not pictured). It has a thin form factor. I have a Verus Thor (similar to Spigen Slim Armor) case on my wifes and it's thicker and slightly bigger.

Note: ignore the screen protector on the phone. I purchased a tempered glass and its too big to use with the Seidio Surface. The front lip of the case takes up slightly more room. So I'm waiting for the standard film screen protector to come in the mail. The only tempered glass screen protector that would fit with the Seidio is their Vitreo tempered glass. Sneaky Seidio...real sneaky by forcing us to spend $40 on your overpriced tempered glass screen protector.

Excellent choice! :thumb:

I have the same style case (Black trim w/Black body) on my M8 (THX to SolApathy for sharing this find) & it's one of my most-liked cases of any phone I've owned.

It adds to the already great feel-in-hand w/o feeling bulky & is quite a rugged case to go along w/the cool looks.

I got my Defender from ATT, so you got a great score on the price. I've always used a Defender. It seems Otterbox redesigned them (at least for the G3). The clips are on the outside so it's much easier to take it apart the hard case. I love it!

I got mine today! A bit less thick than my Note 3 Otterbox.

I gotta admit... I do like this one better cause it feels better in the hand and retains the curve of the G3.

Is it really that easy? You just put the sticker on the backplate and it charges? I've been waiting for the circle case to come out, but this might be preferred.

As I understand it, you have to remove the existing NFC only sticker (if you have that) and replace it with the Qi/NFC combo sticker. So to answer your question, yes, it appears it is that easy. This is the sticker on the inside of the backplate...you do not just put it on the exterior of the backplate. Just for clarification.

I still say this is the most reliable/trouble free charging stand available (even compared to the OEM LG charging stand)

https://www.dailysteals.com/icemonkey/#deals/26820

Anytime I've placed my phone (Note 3) or the G3 on it, it starts charging without having problems with alignment. The OEM LG charging stand has this warning indicator, when it's "slightly" off center and makes you re-position to be straight on the stand.

Link?

Is it a 3 coil one?

Can't find the link to mine anymore. Didn't know that I could post links on here or else I would have earlier. But go to icemonkey.com and scroll down...there's one on there currently for $22.

Also...don't know about the 3-coil. I don't even know what significance that has. Maybe I got a crap one? I don't know.

Here's the direct link

I figured out that when the pop-up comes out for the item you're interested in, you can click on the title of the item again and it'll go to a complete page.

Thanks very much for the info and the link.

Just what I've been wanting, your endorsement was invaluable!

Cheers,

I've never used wireless charging before but I'm curious about it. I know there are 2 types PMA and QI, and ATT uses the PMA.

I'm on ATT. I use a Otterbox Defender case. Is there any way to get wireless charging while using the Defender case?
No wireless charging for AT&T until they release a compatible replacement battery door cover. Once they do, you should be able to charge with the case on. It's just a matter of when that battery door cover with PMA capable wireless charging will be available.

it's all very nice, but I've already spent about $115 on the accessories for this thing, in addition to $658 that I paid to t-mo upfront.
no way I'm gonna spend another $49.
