First off the rom is great, thanks! I have boost abd in system properties it says I have Sprint. It also recognizes my device as v Sprint in the play storev too. I'm thinking its not a problem as my service still works I just paid Bill no problem. JIst curious, thanks.

Conquest is based on the ND8 stock ROM. ND8 is a Sprint ROM. The included carrier "fixes" merely add the correct access points for 3G/LTE service for Boost/Virgin Mobile as well as applying a cosmetic carrier label to the lock screen/notification panel.

In short, it's a Sprint ROM but works fine for Boost and VM.

CHANGELOG

07/28/2014: 6.1
  • SYSTEM: Re-enabled lockscreen style selector in settings
  • SYSTEM: Enabled particle lockscreen style
  • SYSTEM: Enabled watercolor lockscreen style
  • SYSTEM: Tweaked battery/power save quick settings tile layout/behavior
  • SYSTEM: Tweaked Wi-Fi quick settings tile layout/behaviour
  • SYSTEM: Re-enabled lockscreen shortcuts for non-AOSP lockscreen styles
  • SYSTEM: Changed quick settings tile icons to match AOSP/CyanogenMod icons
  • SYSTEM: Enabled screen off+volume up flashlight in settings
  • SYSTEM: Replaced Wi-Fi Hotspot notification icon with icon from CyanogenMod
--------------------------------------------------
RELEASE NOTES: OK so a few of these probably need some clarification so I'll start with the lock screen shortcuts. Lockscreen shortcuts only work with the non-AOSP lockscreen styles. If you have a live wallpaper enabled on any style other than AOSP, the lock screen will revert to the un-styled circle lock screen.

Next up we have the quick settings tiles. The tile will no longer show "power save on/power save off" under the percentage. If power saving is enabled, "power save" will now be displayed under the percentage, and hidden completely when power saving is disabled. I feel that this gives the power save/battery tile a cleaner overall look. The battery levels for the icon have also been adjusted to match AOSP.

The Wi-Fi quick settings tile will no longer show "Wi-Fi ON/Wi-Fi OFF" under the SSID. When Wi-Fi is off, the tile will be labeled "WI-FI," and the icon will be in outline. When Wi-Fi is on but not connected to a network, it will be labeled "NOT CONNECTED," and the icon will be a dark, full Wi-Fi icon. When connected to a network, the SSID will be displayed below a light, full Wi-Fi icon.

The flashlight option has been enabled in settings on the main page under the "DEVICE" heading. This functionality has only been tested the KT747 kernel included with Conquest. It may or may not work with other kernels depending on how they layout the device filesystem for the camera flash.

The rest is just cosmetic tweaks and adjustments. As always, if you run into any bugs, please post them here.

CHANGELOG

07/28/2014: 6.3
  • SYSTEM: Removed Google captions from accessibility settings
  • SYSTEM: Removed Text-to-speech from accessibility settings (still available under Language and Input)
  • SYSTEM: Fixed Particle and Watercolor lock screen style settings not sticking after reboot
  • SYSTEM: Fixed battery icon levels for Battery quick settings tile
  • SYSTEM: Wi-Fi quick settings tile label tweaks
  • SYSTEM: New, cleaner boot animation (based on the old one)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RELEASE NOTES: Another tweak to the WiFi tile text. This time to match the AOSP behavior. Wi-fi off shows "WI-FI OFF." Wi-fi on, not connected shows "WI-FI." Wi-fi on, connected shows the SSID.

While working on the TTS and captions issue, I remembered that I had removed a few options from the settings app for the 6.1 release so the changelog for that release has been updated.

Hope everybody likes the new boot animation. It's really not that much different from the old one, just less cluttered in my opinion, and also about half the file size of the original.

Speaking of file sizes, the zip for this release is smaller overall because I managed to knock about 6MB out of the Settings app by nullifying (reducing size to 1px by 1px) a bunch of images that we don't use. Please if you notice anything off due to this, let me know (screenshot preferable).

-----------------------------------------------------------------
RELEASE NOTES: There are currently two themes to choose from and you can see by the updated FAQs that I most likely won't be making any more myself. I encourage anybody that wants to make a theme to do so. If you submit it here, I will add it to the downloads section. And yes, I finally caved and added a reboot to recovery option to the power menu. There may be other tweaks and changes that I forgot about in the interim. This was originally going to be an update-only release to version 6.4 but due to the number of changes, I decided to release it as a completely new version. However, the changes aren't complex enough to require a complete re-install so there will be an update and a full release ZIP. If you're on 6.3, you should have no problems flashing the update ZIP to bring you to version 7.

Special thanks again to bob-st, Madbat, roirraW "edor" ehT, and wetbiker7 for testing this release for me and helping make sure it's as rock solid as possible. As always, there may be bugs present that we didn't see so please post here if you encounter any problems.

Anyone know of a way to make the system settings background flat black instead of having a gradient?

I seem to recall there being an xposed module for that very purpose.

Otherwise, decompile framework-res.apk and edit the styles.xml to suit. You could also decompile SecSettings.apk and edit it's styles.xml if you only want it to apply to the settings app.
