Help synching contacts and calendar - Possible???

So my birthdays and anniversaries in my contacts' info isn't syncing with the calendar that came with the phone. Is that right? I checked to make sure synchronization is on in the phone settings, but that didn't change anything.

Am I missing something obvious, or does it just not do that?

I'm officially annoyed. I think there's something wrong with my calendar - which MAY be the root of my contacts events not sync-ing.

I tried to change the default calendar view from month to day. The app says that it is done, but whenever I open it, it's in month view...

Is anyone else having ANY issues with the calendar?

If I'm the stupid one, I'd rather figure it out before downloading an alternative...

Wow. That's so stupid. I wonder if any of the market apps can do it. Seems like something SO basic.

I wonder if the phone will at least TELL you that its someone's birthday today - otherwise, why even have that option in the contacts?

thanks!

PS - What number do you have for calling HTC and troubleshooting problems? I'd love to call :)

Agreed! I just came on here to try and find out if anyone else was having this issue. It seems like HTC dropped the ball on some of their contact integration features. How simple is it to have a birthday you enter for a contact carried over to the calendar? That seems so basic to me.

If you are using Google Calendar and Google Contacts, do this:
From Calendar, click Settings (from the links on the upper right corner of the screen), then Calendars (link just under the "Calendar Settings" tab), then the Browse Interesting Calendars (lower right) link, then More (under the heading), and finally Subscribe next to the Contacts' birthdays and events.

It will then sync over to you Incredible Calendar.

I've been pretty flustered with this too. I haven't been able to sync my phone contacts' bdays on the Google Calendar but I did figure out how to get them on my phone's calendar though. What worked for me is checking PC Sync in Calendar>Menu>More>Calendars.

I guess my question (curiosity) is where did it pull those bdays? From my old Outlook calendar on my PC?
