i have a 32gb LG G3, and i'm wondering they say it is built with 3gb of RAM. but
i tried checking my phone it says 1.8gb total RAM and at the moment i got 1.2GB USED, 645MB available RAM.... i also tried downloading Android System Info on my phone just to get the info. and it says the same.....
they said it is built with 3gb ram?? anyone got any ideas? can you enlighten me please :(
i appreciate if you guys could help me :(

So if you go into settings -> Application Manager and slide the screen until you see Running. What do you see for Memory on the bottom?

sir i contacted customer center, he tested 2 stock phones of 32GB G3 phones.
1 result got the same issue as mine. it got 1.8GB RAM... the other stock phone 32GB G3 got a result of around 3GB RAM. meaning there are some 32GB G3 phones being sold with a degraded specification.
it is so frustrating >.<

sorry if i cant post an image yet. im just new here.

Total Ram on my G3 32GB type is 1.8GB

I tried using CPU-Z application, TOTAL RAM = 1,840MB
I tried using Android System Info Application, RAM = 1,840MB
I tried Hardware Info application, SYSTEM RAM = 1,840MB

so i really have a degraded 32GB type of G3......

When I run Android System Info, from Electricsheep, under RAM I see max 2856 MB. This is the same value as I get when I run "Android Hardware Info", by JFDP Labs. I am pretty comfortable that these are okay values for a 3GB phone.

My "Free" RAM is a lot less, but that is as expected -- Android OS is keeping apps loaded, by design

If you are seeing only 1840 MB next to "Max", you may have something bad, if your phone is supposed to be a 3 GB version. If the 1840 is next to "Free", then you are okay (you just don't have many apps loaded up, not a problem).

Are you showing "Internal Memory" around 25293 MB? That's the value I have, fine for a nominal 32GB onboard.

That sucks! So are they sending you a replacement phone? Where did you buy it from? A corporate carrier store, authorized reseller store or online? I would march back in there and ask for a new phone immediately.

i bought it at an authorized store in a Mall.. Actually I went back to the store and confront the sellers about it.. what they were explaining to me is that, ram memory should really be reduced since it has a something built in that is already using the ram. but i told them that it's already indicated in the 1.8gb RAM of mine which is being used and which is free, so to be clear my total Ram was 2gb in the first place.

What they did was they forwarded me to a Customer service center via phone on another mall. I talked to the guy, and he CONFIRMED to me by telling me 2 samples of the stockphones(32gb G3) they got there. 1 phone got a 2gb RAM(same issue as mine), 1 phone got a REAL 3GB RAM...
At the end of our conversation, he just told me that he will FORWARD (again?!) this issue to the MAIN OFFICE...... the next day,
which really pissed me, what the MAIN OFFICE did the whole day was only to FORWARD (wth! again?!) it to Korea regarding this issue.. they didnt do anything.. and right now, i will be waiting the whole weekend for nothing(since no office during weekend)...
sigh..

I asked for a replacement of my phone because it should not be my problem solving this issue. As a customer I should be using their product.

so i was talking to the Customer service center guy again, asking for a replacement instead.
what he told me was that they will take it as a possible option, depending on what will korea make an action out of it...

sigh they should be replacing it but they are not.....

Folks out of curiosity which carriers are you on?

I'm VZW and I get 2.8+ ram (2gig used and 778mg free atm)

(thinking it might be something carrier related)

i bought it at a phone store. No carrier something like your verizon at&t or sprint there in U.S.

here in Phil. you can buy phones even without carriers at the Mall.

( our carriers here are Globe, Smart, Sun, etc..)

Daryll are you in Phildelphia? Can't you just return the phone for a full refund and go somewhere else? I think they are just beating around the bush.. I would not deal with them again..
Lol, Phil=Philippines

This is interesting. Sounds like he's definitely got a 2GB ram phone. Aren't there international versions of this with 2GB ram? I thought some of the international people were jealous that all US carriers got 3GB ram phones?

Generally it was 16 GB phones had 2 GB ram, 32 GB phones had 3 GB Ram as it was marketed. Obviously there are mixed variants internationally.
