New Sprint Plans

I just wonder if current Sprint customers will be able to take advantage of these new plans or are they only going to offer it to new customers.

Who is eligible for the Sprint Family Share Pack?
New accounts and most of our current customers are eligible for the Sprint Family Share Pack.
All lines on an existing customer's account can switch to these plans by meeting one of these conditions:

any of these programs on any carrier has "gotchas" in the fine print. this is nothing new so no need to single out sprint about any fine print. you are not going to have it all in any of these programs on any carrier.

I think its nice that the carriers are trying to 'one up' each other--only means better plans, more variety and savings for the customer...

I kept a tally of how much data I've used up for the last few years and with 2 devices (me and spouse) and a hotspot, I have failed to go over 13GB on each device. Although I am already on a $59 unlimited plan (for each devices), and on the 12GB hotspot plan. I do love that I have unlimited, but these new Family Share plan for $130 for 60GB of data is nice.
Specially considering that my monthly bill is over $270. I may be able to cut a third of that with the new plans.

For some reason i couldn't connect to LTE at work (or home for that matter) on the new Note 4. Had to call into Sprint customer service and they reprovisioned the phone and then it worked fine.
So far so good, still have to learn all the new features. Anyway, in regards to the topic at hand, I also re-applied my employee discounts to the plan a day earlier, but I have to carefully to watch the bill to see if it gets applied properly with the new plan.

It feels weird to be honest knowing that I no longer have unlimited. Even though I have 60Gb to use between three devices (Mega, Note 4, LG2) soon to be 4 (Nexus 6, Note 4, Note 4, Note Edge) it feels just like when I switched from SERO to Everything plus. Its bittersweet.

Sprint starting this coming Friday is doing a deal where you switch to them from Verizon, or AT&T, and they match your plan, and cut your bill in half. Also they will pay your ETF. But you also have to surrender your phones.

I don't want to give up my perfectly good phone, I would rather sell it, so what would they do if I just go down to the thrift store, and buy a cheap flip phone that says verizon on it for like $4 and give it to them and lie about it being my Verizon phone? Or do they have procedures to figure out if it is indeed the one you were using?
