Has anyone else been experiencing this. Sometimes when I click on the Home Screen button, it doesnt always go to the home screen, it might go to the screen to the right or left of it.

also sometimes when I lock the phone and then when I unlock it, it doesnt always go to the home screen. it might jump around.

Sometimes when I hit the home screen or down error right above it, the desk clock appears.

this is all very strange, just wondering what all of your thoughts are. Could it be a particular app that I downloaded.

Had the same problem. For me, the issue was dust/lint on the trackpad. The thing is super sensitive. I just blew on it a few times and it was fine.

I am seeing the same thing, just searching on it now. This is very frustrating.... I see it when i wake the phone from sleep and swipe to unlock the phone. it will typically scroll to the last screen on the right. i see it stop on the 2nd screen (favorites) alot also... defect? anyone but the two of us?? Thanks.

Yes, many people have had issues with with it moving by itself left/right or highlighting objects on the screen.

It seems to just be either dust or static electricity on the trackpad. It happened to me once, and I couldn't make it stop. Rebooted and everything. After reading some others on here say it was the trackpad, I cleaned it with a cloth and I haven't had any problems since.

Getting the same problem on mine!!! Screen randomly moves left & right on the home screens and if I am in app, it will jump around the select buttons.

I LOVE the phone, but this driving me crazy!!!

Going to my local store to see what can be done, will let you know what they say.

anything come from this? i clean the trackpad daily now and still see this at least two - three times a day. granted i keep it in my pocket, so it must just keep adding to the goo up in there. ><

I am not having as much of a problem, it never changes when I wake it but the other day I was looking at the screen as it lay on my desk and it just randomly went one screen to the left of home on its own. It stopped there and that was the only random screen change I have yet experienced with the phone. I attribute it to the phone having a mind of its own. But i'm ok with that.

This happens to me once or twice a day. Usually fiddling with the joystick will fix it but today I had one where it was stuck on the farthest right home screen and no matter what I did would keep going back there. This lasted about 10 minutes and was really, really annoying. As soon as my local branches get some stock in I'm going in to demand an exchange.

This issue is getting worse and worse for me. My trackpad is very clean but this is now happened 3-5 times per day (already happened twice this morning) and is getting harder and harder to fix. It seems like everyone isn't dealing with the issue so hopefully a replacement will fix it...once the local stores get some stock in...

This sounds like something more is wrong with yours, I'd definitely look into a hardware replacement.

That is assuming there isn't some environmental condition that is repeatedly causing your issue. You don't work in a static electricity factory do you? ;-)

Sorry for not keeping you guys updated:D

Took it into the store and the guy there said he had never seen the screen move like that. He tried a battery pull, calibrations, etc.. He then wanted a tech to do a factory reboot of the phone. Did not want to do that until I had backed up my apps.

I took it home and backed it up, called Verizon tech support & they wanted to go through the steps again (bat. pull, calibrations, etc..). Of course that stopped the movement for awhile. Told me to call back if it continued. Next morning it started again, so called tech again & they had me do the full factory reboot. The tech talked to what I assume is his supervisor who told him they were seeing problems in about 1% of the phones. Fixed the movement again for awhile. Told to call back if it continued & new phone would be sent. So this morning phone was going REALLY crazy moving around, could hardly do anything on it, it was moving so much. Called tech support again to get new phone sent by 2nd day FedEx.

We will see if the new phone has any problems or not:rolleyes:.

Thanks for the update. I'll be calling VZW as soon as I get home this evening and will just tell them that I've already done the battery pull and calibration stuff (since we've already established that it's not a permanent fix) and see what happens.

Interesting. I just called *611 and spoke with a very nice guy who said since I'm still in my "Worry Free Guarantee" window that he's going to go ahead and ship me a new phone via 2 day air no questions asked. They are charging me for the new one but will credit me back the same amount when they receive my old unit. Very very good customer service...now I just have to hope that the new one doesn't have the same issue!

I'm seeing this happen on mine as well. I was thinking maybe NoLock was causing this? But I've done some searching around the internet and others are having this problem as well.

I wonder if I should just call Verizon and have it replaced? Has anyone else got a replacement phone and now the issue has disappeared?

Thanks.
