My ip blocked from Craigslist

I've been car shopping on craigslist for the past two days. Today I tried to continue this and received a notification when navigating to their home site that my ip (my phone) has been blocked. I can't even use any of the third party apps to access the site. Anyone know why this has happemed? All I've done is respond to several of the ads and go see a couple cars.

Nevermind. Just figured it out. As long as I was connected to my vpn, I was blocked. When I disconnected from vpn, all was fine.

It's likely fraud protection. Because scammers might be using VPNs to hide their true IP addresses. I can't view or log-into Ebay if I'm using FreeGate VPN, just gives a black page. Although FreeGate was originally intended for tunnelling through the Chinese GFW censoring.
