Don't know exactly what happened when trying to reformat my my rooted S3 & I goofed.

Here's what I can do...
-I can go into download mode
-I can access the philz touch 6 menu

Here's what I can't do...
Get the phone going. I'm stuck a the boot up screen that just says
"Samsung Galaxy S3", nothing happens beyond that.

Can I save my phone or is it done for?
Please help!
Is there anything I can do?

You really need to read read read, before you start messing around, you can permanently ruin your phone. On the download menu, what does it say after bootloader? Are you sprint? And were you on 4.4.2 already?
I got lost along the way, rooted my phone awhile ago & didn't get the chance to add a mod, thought I remembered what I had to do. Obviously not. -.- & The choice for the custom firmware?, Virgin mobile so I guess sprint, & yes was 4.4.2

edit:any way I can restore through odin?

Your phone is fine. You just deleted the system files which is why it is stuck at the logo. It has nothing to boot. I'm assuming what you did was wiped "Clean to install a new rom." Are you sure you don't have a back up in Philz? Philz Touch -> Back & Restore -> Restore from /sdcard or /sdcard1? You have basically 3 options.

Option 1: Install a custom rom from here. Make sure to follow the instructions.

Option 2: You can install a custom stock whiz rom from here..

Option 3: Restore phone to stock firmware via odin. Since, you said you were on 4.4.2 Virgin Mobile, I assume you were on stock and therefore already have the newst bootloader. Here is the Virgin mobile 4.4.2 stock tar which you can flash via odin. Thread has instructions.

I think I did "Clean to install a new ROM" -.-

Thank you! There's a reason why your username has awesome in it!

Just one more thing, which would be my best option if I just want to...
-remove bloatware apps
-overclock the ram just a bit more
-save on battery life
-make sure unnecessary apps don't run in the background/have control over which run

Edit: Also, option 2, can that be done via Odin?

I think you should give Moonknightus's Conquest Singularity( Option 2) a shot. You can choose what apps to install. It has a custom kernel with tweak mod. Better battery life than just stock. It's a zip file that you flash through Philz Touch Recovery. Read his thread to see if you might like it. A lot of people love it.

Okay, will do. Flashing through Philz... How would I do that? I'm a noob.
I'm getting lost on exactly how flashing is done. D:

Oh man I totally forgot that you cant move files to your phone in its state. The best thing for you to do I guess would be to just return the phone to stock through Odin( Option 3). Afterwards, re install philz recovery and definitely make a back up preferably to a sd card if you have one inserted just in case you accidentally wipe something. Sorry for the confusion, I am a bit sleepy.

Yes I was! Thank you again. :D But I notice the PhilZ menu is gone. D:

edit; Basically starting over at this point right? Gotta re-root in a sense?(posting from my phone :p)

Yes, just gotta re root and install Philz again. You can do it the same way as described in this guide. Just make sure to flash an updated version of Philz through Odin. You can download the tar from here.

Alternatively, I believe there is a method to root/install a custom recovery through your phone without the need of a computer. Madbat describes how to here. I've seen a couple of people use that and it seems to work perfectly. I myself prefer the manual way but its great to have options.

Here is a little more detailed post I made about towelroot with links

http://androidforums.com/showthread.php?p=1082

I usually flash recovery with Odin then flash su and busybox with recovery, standard Samsung root. But my normal PC crapped out so I only had this Acer aspire netbook which has a small screen. It actually cuts off the start button in Odin. I have tried everything to get to the start button, .. Nope. So I figured I would try towelroot. Installed app, clicked " make it rain" then installed SuperSU from play store. For recovery install I used flashify. Downloaded latest philz recovery.img and let flashify install it. All without a computer.
Remember I only did it that way because I won't have a new PC for a few weeks and I could not use Odin. I highly recommend using the Odin / tar method.

Link for flashify https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cgollner.flashify
Link for SuperSU https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.supersu

One last thing I'm a little confused on, to flash(Or "flashing" in general) the update for PhilZ after install, I just put the phone back into download mode & pretty much do the same thing with Odin?

If you want, you can also download the zip of philz and extract the recovery image from it. Then you can install it with flashify. Guess I'm on a PC free roll here.

Since you guys are being this awesome so far, thank y'all :D
Another question, lol, so I want to use the Conquest Singularity 9.4...
Do I do tar files through odin or just throw the zips on my SD & let PhilZ handle it? Either way? Probably the biggest thing throwing me off right now. -.- Instructions say "flash through recovery", so I'm assuming through PhilZ.
Then I just repeat for update zip?

Install (flash) with philz. Same for update. You're done with Odin. There are no tars for custom Roms like conquest. Make sure you wipe in philz first ( clean for install of new ROM)

Okay...
-so throw both full & update on SD(don't unzip?)
-get to PhilZ
-wipe & don't reboot
-flash Full
-then flash update

then...?

thank you for holding my hand through this ;__;

All correct. Don't unzip. Its zipped so it can flash.
Then... The flash will give you some options of goodies.
Then.... It will reboot itself. Just enjoy. First boot will take some time, don't panic. Just wait. Enjoy aosp look with touchwiz stability and a full function. Also enjoy native tethering (just turn it on in settings, its built in) without the need for an app!

I thought this would help me get away from google, & it's completely google integrated ;__;

edit; Anything out there that has little google integration?
