Honestly, the games coming out for consoles are at their peak graphically speaking. It's all down to how well a game is optimized for the console. A good example, I feel, is the new Battlefield. It runs better, and with more graphical detail, on my computer than does my 360. Either developers are finally hitting the wall, or they're looking further and further beyond what cookie-cutter components can do. I've noticed it with several games that have been released on PC as well 360 and PS3. Dirt 2 happens to be one of these, as does most of the new games hitting PC's.
