How do you setup the Epson xp-400 printer, I'm sorry if this is taking to much of your time, I'm can't seem to get it to work

Thanks,

Nick

Just open printer share. If you have a wifi printer, there is a selection tab in printer share to search for available printers via wifi. If you have a usb only printer that is a bit tough with a phone unless you have a usb to micro usb converter. My asus tab and HP slatebook (android laptop) both have full usb ports, so printershare can find and use the printer through USB if necessary. All of my printers are wifi at this point however and I just use wifi. I have never used cloud print as I have never needed it. Hope that helps some.

So I assume you had to connect your printer to your wifi router via usb cable?? That way it is available for cloud priniting??

No, I tried it that way and could never get Printer Share to find it. It's just connected to a USB port on my computer. Print jobs take a while to start, so I'm guessing they go to Google and then back to my PC and then on to the printer.

Ahh, yes, that would work too. You won't like to hear this - but I suggest upgrading to a wifi printer soon. They don't cost much and often use less ink than the older models. Overall you will probably save money and frustration just getting a $100 wifi printer.

Thanks, my next one will be Wifi, I'm just waiting for this one to die. I think I bought it in 2008 or 2009 and it's lasted way longer than any other inkjet printer I've had. HP doesn't even list it on their website any more.

About 6 months ago I retired (it died) my last non-wifi printer I think it was bought new in 2008. It was an HP (can't remember the model) and thankfully finally kicked the bucket. I have found the newer ones seem to use less ink. And wifi printing is soooo easy to use with my phone, tablet, PC, etc.. Couldn't go back to USB only.

This is how I set up my printing on my phones and Galaxy Tablet and my new Epson Printer.

First download and install Epson Print Enabler
Here is the link from the play store.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/...lephone.android.epsonprintserviceplugin&hl=en

The device has to be Android 4.4 or later. I did this on my Galaxy S4 and on my Tablet. After the install you then should have the option to print from most of your apps.

Chrome, S-Note the drop downs should have the option to print.
