What custom recovery do you guys recommend philz touch or twrp?

What launcher is there that won't replace the sense camera? I want a launcher that looks like gpe or kitkat that won't replace sense camera.

What apps or xposed modules replace battery icons and hide status bar icons?

1) TWRP
2) Nova is what I use. Launchers should not replace the sense camera since they are separate apps. You can just make a shortcut to the sense camera.
3) Gravity box, xsense, sense 6 toolbox are some that i know.

Thank you mruno for replying. Just curious why do you recommend twrp over philz touch?

Gravity box does not work on sense btw

I tried kk launcher and I love it and it did not replace sense camera

TWRP is more widely known and easier to get support if you have problems. Most ROMs that I have seen recommend TWRP more than philz or even CWM.

Ok I will use twrp then. The reason why I thought the launcher would replace the sense camera was because I have flashed a gpe rom before and on the gpe rom there is no sense camera just google camera. The google camera is mediocre compared to sense camera becauae the google camera has less features than sense camera like no iso settings. So the sense camera is better than google camera

Few quick questions, Is there an app or xposed module that customizes the lockscreen like adding kit kat lockscreen theme, add more icons or app shortcuts on lockscreen, add widgets for quick settings, and be able to bypass password to open certain apps like magic jack to make a phone call? Where can I download a battery icon pack or are there any other apps/xposed modules that replace battery icon and have the best battery icons?

I use all three cwm, philz and twrp..also for the lock screen use a root browser and browse to system priv app and rename htclockscreen.apk to htclock screen.bak

Ok thank you 03mustangGT. How do you add more apps or shortcuts on lockscreen dock? Is there an app to add quick settings or quick toggles widgets to lockscreen? Is there a way to bypass password to open certain apps like magic jack to make a phone call? Are there any apps/xposed modules that replace battery icon? Where can I download a battery icon pack?

I know the xsense exposed module has a couple battery choices. You won't be able to customize the aosp lock screen without flashing gpe or aosp rom or you could download apps like holo locker to get the aosp lock screen and customize shortcuts

Mmhmm I think kk launcher team has one but they might of converted to android L by now not sure..they might still have the kit Kat version
