other ways of taking screenshots

You can use your s pen, hold the button on the pen then press the pen to the screen and hold till it shoots
what a nice way ...

but that is what i would love to avoid getting USED to and HOOKED on!!

s-pen .....

cause when i will lose Note 3 and will want to migrate to any other device ... i do not want to miss it .. and be hooked on it .... like i was to BlackBerry...

Press & hold the power button & the home key at the same time until the screen flashes

i keep holding both buttons and nothing happens ... but after 15 or so seconds Note 3 will reboot (a feature of holding power button for a while )

This should work for all OS versions, are you defiantly using power button and home centre button both at the same time? But 4.4.2 is the latest. Screen shots this way have been around since touch screen phones started hasn't it? You may have the feature disabled, I'm sure there is a way of activating it? But please don't quote me on that, its like I have the swipe feature disabled on mine. Try disabling the air gestures, that might help?

=======

also power+home was always the way on iPhone
