Check for Sprint having it as well.

That makes 3 out of the 4 major US providers.

Although, I had heard about this (my cousin had mentioned to me) about the 4k recording not being on some versions.

The Exynos version doesn't have 4K Recording, but the Snapdragon 800 variant does. I'm pretty sure all US variants are Snapdragon 800 devices, and there is literally no reason why a carrier would have Samsung take that out - none have, to my knowledge.

I wonder if the OP has an Exynos version that he bought online and is using it on a carrier in the US or something, because the option should be there if the phone is a US Branded phone and not simply an Exynos/Global version with a US Carrier's back plate slapped on it (kinda a joke, but may be possible and would suck if that was the case).

That's the only thing that I could deduce. I seriously didn't remember it being taken out of some models, until it had been mentioned by my cousin and I showed him the 4K setting. He likely read about some International versions being limited. What wouldn't surprise me is if it was in China or another communist run country, as there are certain restrictions that have to be made with electronic equipment.

Not sure what res 4k is but my European SM9005 has a max of 3840 x 2160 recording if that helps

Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (N9005, N9002)/ Exynos 5 Octa 5420 (N9000)

The issue is the processor the phone uses, not necessarily what continent it's designed for. The N9005 uses the same S800 SoC as the US Variants, which is why that model has 4K recording (like the US Variants). No Note 3 with an Exynos 5 SoC has 4K recording.

I also don't think (but don't take my word for it) that the Exynos version is capable of 60 FPS 1080p, either.

I'm not sure specifically why that is the case, but that's the way it is on the Note 3. The Note 4 should be a bit more consistent in feature set across both device types (Exynos and Snapdragon).

Says nothing about what model the phone is.

It's in "About Phone."

If it's an Exynos model, you don't and won't have 4K recording. This has been known since before the device was released to the masses.
