Increasing Blue Tooth Volume?

I have a work-supplied S5 and have pretty much figured it out. I steam XM on-demand shows thru the phone blue tooth in my car, which is a add-on system with speaker/mic. On my old Droid4, I had plenty of volume as controlled by the phones volume button. With my S5, and the volume to Max, I can barely hear the the content.

I cannot root the phone, as it is supplied by my employer.

I've tried two Apps (both had poor reviews) and neither worked.

Do I have any other options?

MacroDroid can independently set the Bluetooth volume for you.

I suggest using the Trigger to sense when you connect the S5's BT to the car's BT

Then set the Action to SetVolume, BT=Max

I do this sort of thing all the time to reset the volume on my S5 to match the conditions that I experience at any given time.

ie, I have a very bad habit of holding the phone such that my fingers toggle the Volume Down button and then I hit the Power Button to lock the screen. I have missed phone calls that way with the phone muted for all intent and purposes.

So, I created a couple of MacroDroid macros to sense Screen OFF, SetVolume = RingerMax

That cured my problem of missing phone calls. MacroDroid is very powerful, take a look at it and experiment with what it can do. I think it can fix your problem.

Each of the Actions have multiple options, you must explore everything to make the app work for you.

I installed the Macrodroid program and configured the trigger for my blue tooth connection, as described above. Unfortunately, it had no effect on the volume of my phone when connected to my Blue Tooth auto device. (I set all volumes to max) I guess nothing is going to work with this add-on auto system?

Unfortunately, I don't have a vehicle with BT to test it with.

I had created a macro to set all the volumes to Max including bluetooth when the screen goes black. Just took me one time to realize that "Hey, that over-rides my desired BT volume level while I am talking to someone".

I had to remove the BT part of the configuration.

So, with that experience, was hoping it would help you.

Well I appreciated the effort!
It's odd, on my old phone (Droid4), the phone volume via BT was merely adequate, but had a lot of volume playing XM thru it.
The S5 has awesome phone volume, I haven't heard a "what did you say?" in a week. But the XM volume is very low.
I suspect all that is a function of the add-on, BT add on kit (Smooth Talker set).
That program is very cool, I will continue to experiment and perhaps hit the right sequence.
