I have went into the setting looking at the vibration settings and that isn't the problem. Whenever I get a text, the phone vibrates like usual, but, then it doesn't stop. Restarted the phone several times and still nothing. When I go into my inbox it clicks on random names and saves a draft of nothing saying (no subject). Anyone have this problem?

I have the exact same issue. There seems to be no out. I've reset my phone twice now. I'm still looking into it. This only happens when I recieve a text. It creates multiple conversations with seemingly random contacts. Sometimes it's only a view new conversations, other times it creates 6 or 7

I have the same exact thing going on over here, it was freaking me out until I read that you guys are having the same issue, I'm not alone!

I'm using Verizon
Update SM-G900V_NE9_to_N12
Android version 4.4.4

I am on Verizon but not experiencing any of that. Mine says Update SM-G900V_NE9_to_NHA. I have all the updates they gave me so what is the difference between NHA and N12 on yours? I just got my phone in August. Mary

Yes, this just started happening to me today. I receiev a text, I open it and then it just vibrates constantly. When i go back to my messages there are usually 2 drafts made out to random contacts. When I try to delete them it just turns the contacts to anonymous, then I have to delete them again, exit messages, re-open messages and they are gone. I have Verizon and Ive never had this problem until today. It is quite annoying.

I made an account on here just to tell you you aren't alone. This started with my today as well. Around 6 am I noticed I had like 15 messages that I never opened. They all say (no subject) everyone is telling me that the phone isn't sending them anything. Also, when my phone is on vibrate, once a text comes in it DOESN'T STOP. No issues in silent mode or with the ringer on. Anyone found a fix for it? It's starting to make text drafts for phone numbers I've never even used.

I'm having the same issues. I thought my phone was being hacked!
-Once my phone starts vibrating, it won't stop (incoming text message)
-I have drafted text messages from random people in my text message inbox
including 650 area code numbers (that I've never contacted before?)
-When my phones on silent, it will make a beep when I have an incoming call

Has anybody found a solution?

I just made an account to say the same thing is happening to me. I have a verizon samsung galaxy s5 for added info as well.

This happened before, but I was able to stop it by taking out the battery and restarting. I have tried doing that same process but it won't stop vibrating after receiving a text message. It happened once I received a group text message earlier today. All other vibrations and notifications work fine and I can even send a text message to myself with no issues.

This has to be an issue with the phone receiving texts from others so maybe it's a carrier issue or something dealing with the program that obtains texts and notifications. It's seriously annoying to have to deal with this issue.

Verizon customer service appeared not to know anything about the issue. The rep suggested going to Settings, Back Up and Reset and then selecting Reset Settings only. If you select Factory data reset you will lose everything. I have tried the fix by selecting Reset Settings and so far so good. I did lose my background photos and sound settings etc but easy enough to fix. Lets see if i no longer have 20 phantom empty text messages tonight! pretty annoying........

Having same problem since yesterday. Is this happening on both messaging apps or just one or the other? I'm using the Samsung app, not the message+.

Mine seems to do it whenever I receive a legitimate text message. Then the vibrating starts and I get the random empty message in my inbox.

Very hard on the battery life.

I use the Samsung messaging, never cared for the Verizon messaging.

Hey guys mine just stopped!

I found Messages+ (it looks red and I think it's the verizon one), uninstalled updates, cleared cache/data, forced it off (basically anything to shut it down). Now I just got a text message from someone and it only vibrated once. I hope it holds up now though.

I did this, even though I do not use the Messages+, and by just clearing the cache, uninstalling the updates and rebooting, it stopped creating fake messages and went back to a single vibrate.

I advise clearing this app before doing anything else.
