I'm a big fan of ES File Explorer, but any "My Computer" type program will work. When you first get it, it will be in your Download folder. I copy the ZIP into the Facer folder. Then unzip it there.

I used ES File explorer then uninstalled it when I was done. In my opinion it makes things easier and the app will recognize it in order to load the watch faces you have downloaded.

I found what appears to be a good site for watchbands that clearly lays out the thickness of the band and gives options on the width. Based on what I'm reading on the forums, to work with the Moto, the thickness has to be 4mm or less, and the width 22mm if leather or fabric and 20mm if metal. Does that seem right??

I just got mine yesterday and picked up the Pebble stainless steel band today. Removed 2 links and it fits like it was made for me. Looks so much nicer with the steel band than the tan one.

If anybody is interested, I have a brown leather strap (meant for the Gear 2) that was supposed to go on my Mother's G watch, but she preferred the black leather.

So, after not wanting to take defeat on how "complicated" Facer seemed to be, I decided to do a little more digging. In doing so, I found some great templates to use, from others that had created some watches. In doing that, I managed to get pretty darn close to what I wanted to accomplish.

Here's my "new and improved" Rolex face:

For those that want to know how I accomplished this version (slightly better looking).

I found a watchface closer to what I wanted (although, not exactly there yet), by searching for different images on Google.

Then, I went to find different setups that people made available through the Facer Reddit page:

I found a few people that had done Rolex setups, that are also way more advanced than me, at making the adjustments needed. I downloaded their watch, then went to edit that (in the Facer app) and place the image I found from Google, on that watch. After making slight adjustments in the image placement...this is the end result!

I had actually used the Breitling watch as the inital template, but realized I didn't have a second hand on that one, so that's when I found this! I'm pretty happy. The only thing that I'd change is to try and get the minute and hour hand transparent, where there is white on the image. That's how those would truly look...but, this will do for now.

I seriously can't find the page where there were multiple Rolex faces. It took me a while to find and mis-clicked and can't track it down. Was about to post on here.

I found the face I wanted, but the pic is too small, so it doesn't look as good. Just mad I didn't save the page cuz it had multiple rolex face images.

Now, I just need to find the right hands, cuz these aren't the ones used on the date just watches. Once I find someone that has done one, I can have my sport and evening watches set.

Okay, so the reddit site was okay, but so disorganized and can't find information quickly on that thing, so after doing some digging, I finally found someone that posted this site:

Joe, when u unzip it, there is an additional folder that gets created.

Just cut and paste the contents from the extra subfolder and paste them into the primary folder . when that entire folder is placed as a subfolder under the facer folder then it should show up in the facer app

Alright, going with what some on android central mentioned, I went with a 22mm one last time with 2 inexpensive ebay bands. it was a nightmare getting this stainless steel band on the watch, so I shaved down the end links using a metal filer. Here is my 22mm band with the end links shaven at an angle. I'll post the ebay link for the band up later. Now, for those that want a full looking band that matches the width of the watch, this is definitely the way to go.

Unfortunately, the blue band I bought is too thick, but I may try swapping out the bands using the other end links on the 2nd ebay band.

Yeah, me too, but the posts are so disjointed on reddit, which is generally why I don't like reddit anyway, so I was really happy to find this site

Here is the seller I purchased from, but there are a lot of pthers that sell the same for cheaper. Again, if you don't want to DIY modify, I would suggest the 20mm

I'm sorry, guys. I still can't get this one to work yet I love it. Maybe I dl it too many times because my files seem so jumbled. Any advice? Sorry for the backloading noobness

No problems, we'll get you going.

You should have a folder in your Facer folder like this:

facer\rolex\

In that folder you would put the contents of the zip. Another folder called \images and one called \fonts. Usually three other files, description.json, preview.png and watchface.json.

So your tree would be like this:

facer\rolex\images
facer\rolex\font

If you have any more than that it won't read correctly.

Were you able to get that Rolex working? If you're still having trouble let me know and I'll give you very specific instructions.

Still having issues. Let me mention what I think might be giving me fits. First, when I click the link provided, it only gives me the option to open it with Google drive or chrome, not my file explorer like with other faces. Secondly, is it possible that since I dl another Rolex face days ago that I'm having an issue with the files sharing a similar name?

Okay, where I'm at...
I've dl the face via drive. Then I can open that using me explorer file manager. I have a folder in front of me that is called rolex submarine. My only option is to extract it. I cannot place it into my facer folder before extracting.

Silly me, I just had to manually choose the location to extract it to. I'm embarrassed how simple that was. Sigh. Nothing like showing your ineffectiveness off, but in the end, a little playing around and we're golden. Love the face. Thanks very much for putting up with the thread sabotage I just did there, haha.

Okay, next question about the watch face...
It's on my watch, but to the left of word submariner there is an inexplicable #wct that is partially covering the word submariner. Imagine where the battery percentage is shown to the right of the word submariner, just opposite on the left side. Any thoughts? Thanks.

You can delete additional images, if it's a layered addition. Just go into edit mode for the watchface and then click the layers button. To delete an image just click on the one you need to delete and in the top corner, there should be a delete option.

Okay, oddly enough, it isn't saying the #letters thing, it is correctly showing me the temperature, which is fantastic. I don't know why it changed?...maybe perhaps because I left my WiFi this morning, entered Network before heading back to my school's WiFi? Regardless, I LOVE THIS STINKING FACE!!!

Sorry, Joe. Was trying to upload some screenshots to Photobucket (from my phone), but for whatever reason, it wouldn't let me. Even though you already figured it out, here are some screenshots that will help you (or anybody else) edit watches to their own preference/liking.

Edit mode is accessible by tapping on the 3 dots next to each watchface that is saved to Facer:

This is the next screen you get to, once you've tapped on "Edit". I circled (in black) the "Layers" button that will lead you to all the different image layers used to create the watchface:

Here is the next page you'll get to, after clicking on the "Layers" button. As you can see, there are multiple images that help create the watchface:

I tapped on the temperature "Text" to demonstrate where an image can be deleted. Once you've clicked on an image, you'll be led to the detailed editing page specifically for that image. I've circled (in black) the trash can button (at the top right) that will allow you to delete that image as one of the layers:

Now, for those wanting to try editing on their own, on the first image I posted, you'll see that there's also a selection for "duplicate." If you want to start attempting creation of your own faces, using a template of a different watch (this is the way I'd recommend, rather than starting from scratch), you can duplicate an existing watchface that's already in your facer (it will ask you to re-start the app, when you duplicate a watchface). Once the duplicate is created, you can rename it (to differentiate) and then go into edit mode for the duplicate face that you've made. From there, it's just a matter of playing around with the numbers, to get it the way you would like. Now, the trickiest part is finding the "raw" image files (e.g. jpg, png, gif, etc.) to use as replacements for second, minute, and hour hands. If you dig through XDA, I'm sure there are plenty to choose from by now. I got some help from Outatime, to create my watch the way that I wanted, but once you start and figure out how each of the customization variables work...it's addicting.
