I was just wondering how much battery is used during wifi/3g and which one is more advantageous to use? which one uses less strain on the battery? I live on a university's campus so i have widespread wifi all the time and it is most of the time faster than my 3g network... is it better for me to just use wifi all the time?

I added the individual widgets for mobile network and wi-fi to one of screens so when I have a strong wi-fi signal, I can easily turn off the mobile network--really helps on battery use. You just need to remember to turn it back on again when you don't have wi-fi available. And then turn off the wi-fi, again to save on battery.

If only there were an app that would automatically turn off my 3G and turn on my WiFi when I am at home and do the opposite when I am away... that would be a dream. My coverage at home is terrible... no bars or about a -96 and 6.5

I love Verizon... they have treated me right for many years now but the house I live in... in a VERY populated area that is just plain

i would like this app basically too. My bb had Smartwifi that worked perfectly. It was location based of your cell tower and would turn the wifi off and on based on if you were using that tower.
