Show off your 360 with different bands and faces

Okay, so the reddit site was okay, but so disorganized and can't find information quickly on that thing, so after doing some digging, I finally found someone that posted this site:

FaceRepo | Download Free Smartwatch Faces for Moto 360, LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Watches

So much easier. Just download the watchface and unzip into your Facer Folder. Done. And, there are some good ones to use as templates.

With this site, the Moto 360 just gets better and better in my opinion. What a great little device. I'm rocking as many Rolex faces as I can, haha.

There's a Breitling Bradley floating around that's VERY nice but of course I had to play. I changed the hands to be something a little more readable and I animated the left hand to be battery level and the right hand to be temp. It'll read accurately from -10 to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. After that it will be off.

Am I being really dumb....on facer, I've managed to make my own faces etc and edit other people's but I can't find a way to take the hands from one face and add them to a background of another???? I can't find the image files of the hands to be able to open them from the gallery when importing images if that makes sense.

For whatever reason, if you look in any of the \image directories, the files do not have an extension. If you use the file manager of your choice, copy them to another folder (like a \temp or your \download) and rename them with a .png extension they will work.

The easiest thing that I've found to do is if you like the setup of the hands on a given watch, change the background instead. It's only one thing to line up.

That's one thing I wish Facer had on the creation page... construction lines at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock. It would make lining images up much easier.

Awesome. Thanks for the tidbit bout the image files. Makes customizing so much easier.

If I was a lazy SOB and posted a face on here that I love from FACEREPO, could anyone tweak it to show batter life and temp and such on the dials that the original creator did not? I tried to go into edit and layers and just made things wonky.

Can't hurt to ask, right? :D

Joe - Lazy vs. Being able to admit when you need help...two completely different things. I'd say your case is the latter, considering the amount of time you've spent on the boards. It's not like you're a 1st time poster, but I'm sure there are some folks that could hook that up for you.

I'd offer up help, but I'm afraid that my skills are pretty limited as well. Without some help, I don't think I'd quite be as addicted as I currently am to this watch! It's nuts. Never would've imagined wanting to think of more and more customization ideas (for watchfaces and bands).

BTW, for those of you in search for the "perfect" band, I was doing a little digging and came across the Swatch bands. Just from eyeballing those, I'm pretty convinced that they'll work for the 360 (without modification). The way the end links are set up, it leaves gaps for the 2 prongs seated inside the 360's mounting area. They have a lot of choices to select from and assuming the depth of the band is thin enough, I can't imagine them not working (similar to how people were using the Pebble Steel bands). Now, don't take my word on it, but if there's a swatch store in your area that you want to stop in at and see if the bands will work, might not be a bad idea to try.

I'm "okay" with the band that I chose for now, but have been on an endless search for a band that'll truly make my watch "unique." That's the whole point with Android and Android Wear, right? Happy Hunting!

Here's the link to the Swatch store bands

Where can i find the link to the face you want to edit? :)

Tag Heuer Mc Laren 1974 | FaceRepo

THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH!!!
Beggar's can't be choosers, so whatever you can do would be awesome!
If you'd like to share your process, so you're teaching me to fish... :) I'd try my best to learn from you too.

Thank you!

EDIT: If it were a perfect world, I'd like those three mini-circles to be relevant in some way. Battery, temperature, whatever. I'm also not sure if the numbers that are listed (5, 10, 15...) could be replaced with traditional clock numbers (1-12) but in the same font. However, if your opinion is that it would ruin the authenticity of a Tag watch (is that a Tag thing to show the minutes instead of the hour?) I'll trust your artistic judgement.

Again, thank you.

OK, don't thank me yet... I've not given it a go yet. . I'm at that point with facer that I'm wanting to do something like this. I'll give it a go when I get a chance...I think creating the dials and numbers in Photoshop won't be too tricky, I'll just have to work out the rotation for the disks for battery life and temperature. What do you think you would like third dial to represent? It will be good to work out as I go. I'll try at weekend, but it's my sons 18th so might be too busy. maybe will have to be next week when I next get a chance to have a proper play. I'll keep you posted.

Please give your family the time it deserves. I'll survive very well with the faces I have. I thank you for any effort or none at all. My life is good. These gadgets are just wonderful distractions and fun along the way. Thanks for taking an interest and whenever is good by me. As for the third dial, I've seen some that are the months listed in number or abbreviation. That might be cool. Again, I appreciate it.
