Root [Verizon] New update and rooting?

There's a new update from Verizon. Has anyone with root been able to re-root afterwards. I won't accept the update until I know I can and I'll block the update forever if it destroys root.

Where do I get info on how to

. Flash the I545_NC5_Stock_Kernel.tar.md5 using Odin's PDA slot(AP in Odin v3.09+).

can anyone familiar with odin tell me if this is normal? i did the ota update, installed towelroot, went into download mode and attempted to flash the stock kernel (edit: NC5) when it says this^^. im thinking about trying it over and over until it works but I don't want to brick my phone.

phone kept rebooting, even while trying to wipe or flash NC5. thought it was bricked but was finally able to factory reset using these instructions, which I think people should see just in case:

Samsung Galaxy S4 hard reset

will try to regain root and flash a custom rom today. wish me luck.

Good Luck! I was able to easily root but not able to figure out how to install a boot recovery or install a custom ROM
