haha - I did the same thing, I had my N1 stock for all of 15 minutes! My N1 arrived today. I immediately rooted it and installed 5.0.6! Ridiculously fast and smooth.
My battery life ever since rooting and going with cyanogen mod has been way horrible. After 1 hour of being off full charge I'm at 88 percent with hardly no use.
Mine seems to chew through the first 10-15% really fast too, but I pulled it off the charger at 7 this morning and I'm sitting at 48% now.
Running the Pershoot OC/UV kernel as well.
This is exactly how it works for me too. After about 85%ish the battery drain REALLY slows down. Not sure if its an issue with the battery reporting or what.
hey guys I installed Cyanogen Mod 5.0.6 a little while ago I lost my market place app for getting apps so how do I get that back? thanks
Buckshot, also since I have rooted my phone my wifi won`t say on when phone goes to sleep, before I rooted it, it would stay on the whole time, because this allows me to get email alerts at work and home using wifi, but now after about 10-15 mins after the phone has gone to sleep, the wifi turns off, I wouldn`t worry about it but I don`t have a Data plan and I have my data blocked through ATT, so I use wifi only, and suggestions would be great.
i think you can go into: Settings > Wireless & network settings > Wi-fi settings > press on the 4 horizontal lines (one of the 4 buttons at the bottom) to bring up the menu > Advanced > Wi-fi sleep policy > you can select Never
hopefully that helps
Hi,
First post here, and first time rooting my new Nexus One(received it Friday on Vodafone UK).
Installing the Cyanogen MOD went smoothly thanks to the well documented process, plethora of walkthroughs etc. Everything is great, my only gripe is that I now have Dev Tools, Sim Toolkit, Spare Parts and Superuser Permissions in the menu. Is there any way to remove these? and at what detriment are they to my phone(if friends are using my phone and accidentally 'mess' with them)?
Thanks,
- John
You don't really want to get rid of those items in your apps menu. Although unlikely you'll ever need them it is possible that you may eventually. Especially the "Spare Parts" app which controls MOST of the additional features and additions to the Cyanogen ROM itself.
I haven't been able to find anynwirking morphs for this rom yet... might roll back till things catch up...
