i have the virgin mobile version of this phone (LG F3) and i haven't been able to find a list of removable bloatware for it anywhere... i've seen notes here and there of things people have removed but no defined list like i've seen for other devices.

Does such a list exist?

I'm running stock rom and I've already deleted the crap i know about that's safe to remove... But there's still a ton of stuff on there i'm sure i don't need.

Thanks!

My supplemental pack for my rom includes a list of software you can uninstall, but you will need to download it.

thanks for this. went through and deleted everything from your supplemental pack that i hadn't already deleted...

however since doing that i keep getting the following error msg on startup:

"Sorry! Unfortunately, Update Device has stopped."

any clue on how to get rid of that notification? whether it be delete something else i forgot or reinstall whatever .apk controls that msg.

thanks again!

That's the lg system updates restore "LGFOTA.apk" from the supplemental pack and that will go away, but if you are rooted, I'd just leave it as its a small annoyance compared to a forced update.

that's bizarre... because the other day i removed lgfota.apk and installed fotakill.apk... never got the error message...

it wasn't until i removed the rest of the bloatware that i started to get the error msg. lgfota has to be linked to something else that was deleted no? maybe one of the sprint .apk's?

anyway... you are correct.... small annoyance... just for my own curiosity i might reinstall lgfota.apk but leave fotakill.apk in there and see if the error message goes away but still prevents updates...

thanks again for quick reply...

put lgfota.apk back in the system/app folder and still got the error message so i think it's porably something else that's controlling that notification...

there's some mention of it around the interwebz but none of it really makes sense to me and nothing specific to the f3.

no worries. i think i'll be able to work around it especially since my phone rarely crashes and i rarely restart it....
