Droid Turbo Ordered

I just got a call from my local Verizon (independent) store that I've done business with for X, Bionic, and Maxx. I visited them yesterday and they had no information and could not order.

My Droid Turbo is now on order ... 64GB ... they'll call me back with delivery information. It is coming to their store.

It is my policy to always handle a new phone before I cinch the deal.

I didn't notice a difference at all vs the galaxy nexus it was replacing. I like it because it feels less slippery in the hand so less prone to dropping.

As long as I dont have to fight putting or removing it from basic jean pockets; sounds good to me.

Now can't wait for the real world battery use results to come in. I really like the idea of waving a hand to get notifications.

Saw my dealer for a Maxx problem today.

My Turbo is expected there tomorrow. They will call me.

The ballistic nylon case seems to be what is being shown on all the leaks for the international version that is being announced November 5 as the Motorola Maxx.

Seems likely that is the reason the Verizon loog isn't there.

Well, I was waiting for my contract to end early next year. Then I was responding to a large fire (I'm a Red Cross disaster responder) and in all the hectic activities I reached for my Maxx while running with other stuff in my hands and this happened:

So... I waited a day and bought the 32G ballistic black.

I also bought the lifeproof case. And just a warning, the case blocks the home key so that it's not impossible to tap, but not really easy either. I'm returning that tomorrow until Lifeproof fixes that.

Honestly, I've been so busy today, I've hardly had time to look at it. But so far I like it as much as my Maxx (RIP Ms Maxxy Maxx *sniff sniff*

I was just in the best buy . They staff is pretty dumb . Employee one stops a sexy fine Azz female from chatting with me about the droid turbo . So the dude comes over and say this wont work on Verizon . I laughed and yes the female is laughing also . We ask the nerd why would you think this he yells out so loud " It doesn't have a sims card space", I am saying what a fool the female tries to show him where it was and I also knew where it was .they dropped a new phone and thought I was going to buy . So I show them this on the a model phone .

I hope that phone Dont get sold. After all went down the manager said its new . I made a rude remark like I think your staff is newer than the phone .

Mine arrived today.

I REALLY like the ballistic nylon back on the 64GB.

I REALLY like the fact that there is no Verizon logo on the case.

The initial setup was started in the Verizon store.

I got a screenshot of the out of the box About phone display.

I did a Wipe Cache Partition three times ... it was 1.5 min each time (vs. 6.5 min in the Maxx).

When the screen is off passing my hand over the proximity sensor shows the Active Display (vs. not showing it as is the case on the Maxx).

When in recovery is displayed qe 0/0 (vs. qe 0/1 in the Maxx).

I installed the 21.21.15 OTA.

I then did a Factory Data Reset (why not?) and requested that it wipe data.

It also wiped the cache partition.

It is currently downloading the 300 apps from Play Store.

This is a superb device.

When I put the Turbo on my Tylt Vu charger ... it is SILENT.
