I was monitoring the Vz/N6 conversation because if Vz pulls a fast one, I am done with them. I already have my N7 because of their shenanigans regarding that device last year.

Still, I cant wait to actually see and hold one myself. I really want to get a feel for how huge the device is. I am hoping I dont find it too large. However, since I am also waiting on the Note Edge, either way, I am going big.

I guess I am going big or going home! :)

Go find a Note 4 or IPhone 6+ and hold it your hand.

Well this whole preorder thing just pissed me off. That coupled with my original maxx dropping signal numerous times a day forced me to go get a 64gb turbo.

Hopefully the nex6 shows up sometime in the next month but at least I won't throw my phone out the window due to frustration.

I'm still getting a 6 for the screen size. :)

So being that preorders failed, what's your alternative guys? Keep waiting for the playstore or go the carriers route? I'm probably going T-mobile or see when moto's website start selling it.

I'm waiting for PS or Moto, I have a credit line with Motorola. I could pay outright or payments thru Moto, nit sure which I'll do?

I was one of the VERY, VERY lucky people to pre-order a midnight blue 64gb nexus. My deliver date states, leaves the warehouse on the 21st, but I'm really hoping I get the phone this week, or early next week.

As for the pre-order itself? I personally don't understand why Google did it the way they did. I'm just hoping that I get the phone, if not earlier, than at the same time as T-mobile, et al..

Have a great day all!

If the commonly reported embargo lifting date is 11/12, that implies the play store orders may in fact not ship until 11/12 or maybe a day or two prior. Wouldn't make sense to not lift it when people would have received they'd GPS orders. So I don't think anyone should expect their pre-orders to ship this week. I'm guessing next Monday.

I've heard of the NDA agreement ending on the 12th but I've also read estimated shipping on whatever pre orders made it through were around 3 weeks.

Like I said, at this point I'm being impatient and probably a little irrational but I'd like Google to make some kind of formal announcement.

Agreed, the poor and more importantly lack of communication is ridiculous.

I'll be shocked if I get my pre-order before T-Mobile purchasers tbh.

I'm waiting right along with you all.
I was originally going to get a Note 4, as I currently have and am using a Note 2 and luv this phone. However then I read about the Nexus 6 and thought wow forget the Note.
So I guess it'll be the the middle of the month before we'll be ordering but we can hang in there that long for a great phone right?
PS I've checked into other phones and they all have small screens compared to my Note/lack the memory of a Nexus 6 etc.

I am now in my upgrade period, and still waiting on the N6 on the Edge. I managed to pick two phones that dont have a definitive release date yet. This waiting sucks!

AT&T gets it on 11/7, Sprint will get it on 11/14. Other carriers will get it too, but date/pricing is unknown.

Probably worth booting the device once WITHOUT the sim card in it to check this and then fastboot oem unlock it, just in case Verizon decides to disallow checking that option ;)

Yeah, I don't have a problem with this. It would suck to unlock the bootloader without booting he device up and realize you have a dud that won't boot properly. :p

Oh, I agree and I like this security feature.

However, it now opens the door for carriers to disable/remove the option (*cough* verizon *cough*) if they so choose. And in using their new "sim based post-setup/configuration" it would mean an unlockable Nexus 6 from the play store would get "locked down" when you boot it with a Verizon sim. Whether you can get into stock recovery to undo that I dunno. But to err on the side of caution, if you plan to unlock the bootloader and you're on Verizon, I'd boot it up without the Verizon sim card first, check that option, fastboot oem unlock it, then boot with the Verizon sim card.

It's back. Still no phones, of course, so it's really a moot point but the free 6 months of Google Play Music for phones ordered prior to the end of the year is back up. My rational side is desperately trying to reign in my super-optimistic side to not read too much into this . . . such as having a big lot of phones that they'll be releasing to the Play store real soon.
