Root [MetroPCS] [ROM] MetropolitanS4 [MS4] [MetroPCS Samsung Galaxy S4 SGH-M919N][ROM]

i'm not sure if this has been mentioned but my current fix for the camera sound is using "wanam xposed" and under "sound" is the option to shut off the shutter sound

HI, I have been trying to install this rom,(always seem to have problems) I downloaded to my computer then put it on my SD card, but it says cant load boot,so it wont install, what am I doing wrong?

What is telling you "cant load boot"? I've never seen or heard of that.
Is it the recovery giving you this message?

Edit: also What recovery do you have and what version?

Thanks

iv been out of the loop for a while out of the country and i jsut received an email telling us the rollout started today but i hadnt looked anything else :p
this guy feels like a ****** now

lol yea no big deal. I can see you were excited! :)

I read that Metro were rolling out the update one area at a time, so you are probably right in that it just became available where you are.

That's why its good to check in to the forums here regularly. Any news is posted as soon as its available. You run a Metro store right? Thats another good reason to stay connected to these forums...seems you can get news from us faster than you get it from MetroPCS.

Im glad you liked it. Unfortunately I no longer have the time. I tried to update to 4.3 but that version gave me nothing but bootloops no matter what I did, so I never released it. Im not much of a dev anyway. I consider it lucky that the original version worked at all. Maybe someone else with the know how can step up? IDK.
Thanks though :)

I flashed my MetroPcS galaxy s4 previously on 4.2.2 with TWRP using the MetropolitanS4 rom. After a successful flash my wifi would not turn on at all, permanently would stay on Off and the message would stay on "Turning wifi on..." but it would never actually turn on. After a wipe I tried the stock rooted/deodexed rom beneath MetroS4 and ran into the same issue.

I am now attempting to restore my backup and see if my wifi works, anybody know how to fix it as I really liked the MetropolitanS4 interface.

I upgraded from the s3 on metro pcs to the s4 on metro pcs. The phone came out of the box with 4.3. I figured out how to root it and I froze a bunch of apps with titanium. I was getting insufficient storage warnings on apps I was trying to update. So I searched out metropolitanS4 rom. Ive used metropolitan rom on s3 and liked it. Im using CWM recovery v6.0.4.7 after wiping data, cache and dalvik, i go to install the rom via the extSD card. It starts the process, but within a minute I get this, ive never seen it before in my days of flashing roms....

-- installing: /storage/sdcard1/MetropolitanS4 v1.1.zip
finding update package...
opening update package...
installing update...
set_perm: some changes failed
E:Error in /storage/sdcard1/MetropolitanS4 v1.1.zip
(status 7)
installation aborted

thats it, goes back to recovery. I tried downloading the rom again, maybe something got messed up on the download. I tried a different rom too and it installed fine. is anybody still around from this thread? anybody have an idea?

thanks I appreciate the work everybody puts into metro pcs roms and the galaxy s phones

Hello
MetropolitanS4 is a 4.2 rom and you are on 4.3. Im sorry but there will be no 4.3 or 4.4 versions.

You should be on the 4.4.4 MetroPCS firmware, that is the latest version available.

I installed TWRP 2.6.3 on my Galaxy S4 metro pcs phone, and I have backed it up I tried rooting and it gave me a error saying I didn't have the binary. I really would like to just flash a new rom, I hate all the bloatware they put in these phones, I flashed my tab. to slimrom and I love it, I don't know which way to go with my phone, than after I flash to get phone I need to do what, write my apn manually?. im one somewhat confused fella here.. anyways any help would be amazing...

thanks
